Any other huge splitters waiting on JS1s? Maybe they're pushing splitter decisions off for a while?

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Not sure what qualifies as huge, but I'm still waiting at <25th GPA and =75th LSAT. Went complete late January. It makes sense that splitters would be among the last to be considered, though, because that way the admissions committee has the opportunity to run the stats on their already-admitted pool and see if they "need" us to balance out percentile brackets.James.K.Polk wrote:Any other huge splitters waiting on JS1s? reverse splitter, technically. GPA>75%, LSAT<25%. complete early December.James.K.Polk wrote:Any other huge splitters waiting on JS1s? Maybe they're pushing splitter decisions off for a while?

Bumping this! Got my JS1 tomorrow and not feeling very confident with my stats. How much do stats matter post interview?obxt wrote:Does anyone have insight into why people are dinged post-JS1? It seems like at least 20% of people with JS1s are ultimately rejected, so other than really screwing up your interview (which I'm sure happens) I'd love to know what the deciding factor is for other people.

I think the weight is applicant specific. Weighs more heavily, I would imagine, for the people further from the medians.Hamburglar wrote:Bumping this! This really needs to be the LAST thing you are thinking about in the 24 hours leading up to your interview. Stats are already baked into the cake. Your application attracted their attention and you were chosen to interview while thousands of others this cycle were not. Be positive, be yourself, and don't try to self-prognosticate prior to your interview!Hamburglar wrote:

Trust me, you will have plenty of time to worry about these things after your interview. Good luck!

I'm calling now that there won't be a JS2 wave until next week, but I would be more than happy to be wrong about that.
Assuming that the ding waves are over for the time being, I do think it is a good sign for any of the leftover Dec/Jan JS1ers who survived yesterday and today, but I am basing that purely on speculation and not any sort of prior thread analysis.

Really hoping you're wrong, but you're probably not. A lot of January JS1-ers in the last wave. I think the early Februarys (read: me) can rest pretty easy also.itsgonnahappen wrote:I'm calling now that there won't be a JS2 wave until next week, but I would be more than happy to be wrong about that.

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Looking back at the thread, it seems as though the JS2 wave on Thurs. 2/11 started off at about 12:30-12:40, but then went all the way to 5:30 or so. Jan. 14th it looks like reports first started coming in at around 3:30. So maybe there is still time to get started today into tomorrow.
