I'd agree with this, especially considering the weird timeline this cycle.barrelofmonkeys wrote:Too soon to freak out completely.bart001 wrote:my app went complete on 11/18 but I have not heard anything since. What do you all think? Is this bad? Thanks...

Checking in. Submitted app on 01/02 and got the "app received" email today. Below median LSAT and no GPA (international student), but I hope that my MA, 6 years work experience and extensive volunteering and internships will compensate... What's very annoying is that I can't compare myself to others because I didn't find anyone in a similar situation so I'm very anxious. I wonder if they will only look at the LSAT and reject me from the very beginning... Any thoughts? Thanks and good luck to everyone who is still waiting for js or any other sign from HLS.

What rating did LSAC give your GPA? It won't impact rankings, but H will still care.nmic wrote:Checking in. Submitted app on 01/02 and got the "app received" email today. Regardless, you should be prepared to sit out a cycle and retake the LSAT.

Prediction: Monday, January 13th (last year there was a wave on Monday, January 14th).paglababa wrote:Theories and predictions on when December JS1s will get their first wave of JS2s?
ETA: There were some December JS1s with JS2s already..maybe as late as December 10th IIRC?

LSAC evaluated both my undergrad and graduate grades and rated them as Above Average.midwest17 wrote:What rating did LSAC give your GPA? we tried to predict this based on last year for December JS1's but it seemed like we were only half right in that JS2's did come out at the end of December right before break, but not very many December JS1's got their JS2 in December.barrelofmonkeys wrote:Prediction: Monday, January 13th (last year there was a wave on Monday, January 14th).paglababa wrote:Theories and predictions on when December JS1s will get their first wave of JS2s?

I'm far from an expert, but common wisdom seems to be that you need Superior to have a good shot at YHS. Below median LSAT probably makes that even more true. See, e.g.: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 7#p4990109nmic wrote:LSAC evaluated both my undergrad and graduate grades and rated them as Above Average.midwest17 wrote:What rating did LSAC give your GPA? Not out of the realm of possibility, depending on how far below median you are, and your WE will help.

I haven't been keeping up with the thread over the holidays, so sorry if this has already been said, but has there been any consensus on when waitlist/rejections will come out?

The funny thing is that they give Superior to grades between 9 and 10 and mine was 8.9 so I needed just 0.1 to get Superior... maybe they'll look at this too. Thank you for the link and for your thoughts.midwest17 wrote:I'm far from an expert, but common wisdom seems to be that you need Superior to have a good shot at YHS. Hasn't been much talk of that, but apparently the first reported rejection last year was on Friday the 11th.Jessasaurus wrote:I haven't been keeping up with the thread over the holidays, so sorry if this has already been said, but has there been any consensus on when waitlist/rejections will come out?

I'm missing where on the Academic Summary it lists GPA as "above average" or whatever...midwest17 wrote:I'm far from an expert, but common wisdom seems to be that you need Superior to have a good shot at YHS.
