Also reserved yesterday after being held in March.
Disappointed but not too surprised.

don't think it has. i certainly didn't receive one. but it seems likes they have given out a small number of interview requests for those who were held.lollipop555 wrote:last cycle, LOCI requests were sent out. has this happened this cycle?

I'm trying to convince myself that somehow my ED deferral can turn into admit because URMs with identical or slightly better #'s have gotten in. I think I know what's coming though....

What's the standard turn around for financial aid decisions? Anyone still waiting to hear who was accepted RD, but never held/reserved?

+1. Submitted everything on-time, but had a weird situation (had to request a parental waiver, but for legit reasons/not just one parent who didn't want to pay) so I have a feeling that's slowing things down.helix23 wrote:<--- this guybob loblaw11 wrote:Congrats!!Audeamus wrote:Accepted!!!

They'll expedite the actual delivery of the decision, by sending an email instead of hard copy.. they didn't mention actually speeding along the process though.
Sigh. Any luck with getting NYU to delay the deadline instead?

I'm going to call and ask today. I was thinking of just playing the double-deposit game but it looks like NYU's is binding.bob loblaw11 wrote:They'll expedite the actual delivery of the decision, by sending an email instead of hard copy.. they didn't mention actually speeding along the process though.

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I called both places - got sent to voicemail by Columbia financial aid. I like the school, I want to end up there, but their admissions/finaid departments have done everything short of giving me an actual middle finger whenever I've had to deal with them.
The NYU person was really nice, though, and seemed to suggest that deposit extensions might be granted for some of us 4/22ers.

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I just posted this in the NYU admitted students thread but I sent them an email a week ago asking for a deadline extension and still have not received a response and I cannot even get a voice mail at the fin aid office. Little worried since the deadline is Monday....
On a more positive note I'll be at the CLS Monday event if anyone wants to do a TLS get together!

Wait on the Columbia voicemail - at the end of the message, if you press 0, it'll connect you to one of the officers and they are every bit as helpful as they are at NYU. just slow
I'll also be at the Monday event! Looking forward to it!

I was put on "reserve" for a decision at the end of may. Effectively what is this, a short-term waitlist? A soft ding?

Count me in. I called them and they said it was still in review, but that they'd be willing to email me the pdfs in addition to mailing.helix23 wrote:<--- this guybob loblaw11 wrote:Congrats!!Audeamus wrote:Accepted!!!
