I did that two weeks ago and got my hold email last Friday. It's almost as if they were reminded that I exist -_- At any rate, you could get a decision soon.luxxe wrote:Still nothing ughhhghh

Did anyone who emailed an LOCI get a confirmation?
Wondering if I should call today or tomorrow to confirm it was received so that I can put my LSAC number in their minds again...

I don't think any actual holds have gotten in. I have a source that was informed that no hold decisions would happen until the first week of April.Mr. Somebody wrote:How many holds have gotten in so far?

Is there anyone left who hasn't heard anything from Columbia?
If you're one of those people, when did you get the complete email?
Everyone else, feel free to speculate what not hearing anything at all from Columbia for months might mean.

Complete 11/22, still nothing. I got a Columbia specific LOR about a Center/Clinic that only exists at Columbia and I can't imagine anything else is keeping me holding on given my 169.knickerbocker wrote:Is there anyone left who hasn't heard anything from Columbia?

There is an ASW this weekend right? So they might just be busy...? I have a scholarship deadline at another schoollll. 4+ months is enough

Though there are a pretty good number of 169/3.85+ that applied early and still haven't heard back. Or updated LSN.

international; Complete 12/15. No hold, no mail...
Twice I got excited over US caller IDs, from NY and CT... turned out to be NYU 1Ls calling over the break to congratulate me on NYU and see if I had questions. Blech
I also have a scholarship deadline coming up which will eat up some deposit $.
Based on last year's LSN data, we seem to be in WL/reject phase now.

To clarify, I was told that they wouldn't start looking at holds again until then, not that they would be making admissions. Sorry.Geneva wrote:it's gonna be a good week, fellow holds! *fingers crossed*JamMasterJ wrote:I don't think any actual holds have gotten in. Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Complete the first week of November. Also haven't heard anything, except that I emailed them around the 4.5 month mark to say I had scholarship deadlines the first week of April. Got a standard reply email that they'd "try to make a decision by the end of April." Not too helpful.knickerbocker wrote:Is there anyone left who hasn't heard anything from Columbia?

I'm considering calling once their ASW is over. I'm not sure why I haven't heard anything, to be perfectly honest. Accepted at Chicago/NYU/Harvard early on in my cycle. I feel like if Columbia couldn't make a decision on me in the past 5 months, then I'm probably going to end up WL'd.

Complete end of November and still nothing here. It's actually a little comforting seeing that there's quite a few of us still and that they haven't forgotten about my application or anything.

I don't understand why they still haven't held you guys since their deadline for hold decisions is less than a month away. I feel like they have to have made decisions on you guys already.

URM 166/3.75
complete silence, sent in a LOCI about 2 weeks ago
I was in NYC for NYU ASW and stopped by Columbia to see what was up, they said they definitely didn't loose my application lol which is shocking because I feel like I should have been rejected by now ... but they reassured me that I am in a group that hasn't been placed on hold/WL/reserve ... and that I should receive a decision within a couple of weeks - most likely the end of April
... my best guess is that they are probably waiting to see how many students start withdrawing soon ... and then based on who withdraws they will accept some more students from our group depending on what strengths they are looking to make up for - LSAT/GPA or URMs

Yeah, perhaps they're hoping some people will withdraw or commit once they release their financial aid info?

We will likely receive decisions at the end of April or by the end of April? This is ridiculous.mermaid9052 wrote:complete 11/22

Either way, I hope no splitters withdraw in the next month.
