I was also waitlisted on Friday, with the rest of you. I will probably remain on the waitlist, at least for a while, since Michigan was really high on my list.

Ditto. Hogwarts was the ONE school I felt a serious pang of sadness for when I withdrew. Best of luck to you! I really hope you get in.

Got an email from admissions today saying they had a higher than expected number of acceptances and will be releasing a number of people from the WL in the coming weeks.

Well it was in response to an email I sent asking about the wait list and some other things. I don't know that they plan to tell anyone before they make a cut of the WL. Anyway, it says they'll be cutting people in a few weeks and asking the remainder how long they would be willing to wait.

Okay so we are halfway through april. I applied fairly late. Is it possible to not hear anything by the end of the month? Or i am i guaranteed to hear back from all of my schools that maintain this end of april dealine. I am like if they forgot about some of you guys from november, how are they gonna find time to reject me when i was late Jan.

Anyone know if the admin office will be sending out the "shortened" wait list before the END of April?
It would help people narrow down their choices since so many seat deposits are due at the END of April.

Whether or not you're still on WL should have 0 impact on where you deposit.

In a normal year, about 30~40 would be taken off a WL of several hundred. They waitlisted a ton of good applicants this year, and because of their low cost of living, relative generosity with $$ for a T10, and their good year in USNWR, they've gotten more acceptances to their admissions offers. It's pretty clear that this WL isn't worth hardly anyone's time to ride, and possibly will be worth no one's time to ride... they may take no one. But we'll see.

I got this letter yesterday as well. I'm in Michigan, so I imagine people from outside the state will start receiving them tomorrow.
