I work on the west side and I pass 66th street on the 1. There are always lots of people getting on or off.Kim617 wrote:at work? lol it's not always a crowded mess, especially not all the way on the west side!cherryalamode wrote:Lol this is the CITY? Where are all the people? LOL.
It definitely looks a lot bigger without all the people lol.

It was a Sunday at about 12:30pm. I'd imagine they were at church/brunch/lunch? There were actually a lot more people around, I just tried to snap pics without as many people in them.Kim617 wrote:at work? lol it's not always a crowded mess, especially not all the way on the west side!cherryalamode wrote:Lol this is the CITY? I go to school in Chelsea/midtown and whenever I'm over there (by way of the 1) during the day it's so dead!cherryalamode wrote:I work on the west side and I pass 66th street on the 1. There are various ways of getting them cheap, but when I went to student services, they just had discount Broadway tickets. Student rush tickets can be bought directly at the Met, or else you can get the Agnes & Karl Varis rush tickets, or get them through friends affiliated with Lincoln Center. You won't be paying full price-- no worries.chutzpah wrote:OS or anyone else - is there a special relationship between Fordham and Lincoln Center because of the proximity? Like cheaper Met/NY Phil/ballet tix? I went to high school in the city and remember getting super cheap NYC Opera and Ballet tickets.OperaSoprano wrote:Darling, thank you for posting these. *sigh*nygrrrl wrote:Nancy B!!!

Hi! This was just discussed a few pages back, but I believe the short answer is that April 15th is the earliest WL candidates can expect to be reconsidered.colforbin wrote:has fordham said when they will start reconsidering waitlisted candidates? i applied part time (161, 164, 3.7) and got the WL last week or so.
could i potentially be waiting all summer?

Those photos that were posted on the last page... they make it look remarkably un-cold.

It's not THAT cold in NYC. Even for most of the winter. At least not compared to a lot of the midwest, from my experience. You'll have a fair number of 30-40 degree days, maybe a few days where it gets down to the teens, but that's been a rare occurance lately.sibley wrote:Those photos that were posted on the last page... they make it look remarkably un-cold.
That's part of the reason I like it here, heh.

my one experience in nyc in winter (other than... you know... westchester) I froze my little arse off. st patty's day parade. brrr. and another time, in the late fall, a cab kicked us out in the rain. not cool.Wingdw wrote:It's not THAT cold in NYC. I agree. I've lived here for... well, almost 20 years and ya, it's cold over by Riverside Drive in the winter... but that's mostly a wind thing. Otherwise, NYC is nothing compared to Chicago or Minneapolis.Wingdw wrote:It's not THAT cold in NYC. Even for most of the winter. At least not compared to a lot of the midwest, from my experience. It's a little worse where I live, in Staten Island. It gets way more snow and a bit colder, but the city is pretty moderate. I love the cold weather though, because when it's warm, my hair frizzes.nygrrrl wrote:I agree. Ha, you must hate the beach. It's actually the only place my hair looks good. Everyone else gets frizzy and disheveled and I get pretty =DKim617 wrote:It's a little worse where I live, in Staten Island. It gets way more snow and a bit colder, but the city is pretty moderate. To nygrrrl and other people who see Fordham as their number one and have NOT heard back from them at all:
Would you ever consider writing them a LOCI telling them that if accepted, you would absolutely enroll? Or is this bad luck and should not be done unless you're placed on a WL?

LOL, well.... since Fordham is actually the ONLY school to which I applied (and they know that!), I am on the fence about writing a LOCI...cherryalamode wrote:To nygrrrl and other people who see Fordham as their number one and have NOT heard back from them at all:

Should I email or mail in a LOCI? How long should I wait from complete date to contact them?
