I've been going back and forth for months so that 25th is really convincing for me

Seems worth it as a reach, but I don't want to spend $100 on a school that likely won't give me money

Apply! I don't think they'll give me money/I don't have any real intentions of going there, but I figure if I get an acceptance from Chicago I could use it to squeeze a tiny bit of money out of Columbia and NYU (if I get in there too).

I will say that simply acceptance to Chicago is unlikely to get you anything from Columbia.
Maybe NYU, but Columbia probably won't care at all.

Chicago acceptance-->money from NYU-->money from Columbia?

Seems plausible enough to me that I'm willing to toss $100 Chicago's way.

My Chicago and Columbia apps are all ready to go, but I'm not ready to give up hope for a fee waiver. I might wait til October, since I think both schools don't give acceptances til December anyways (maybe? I don't know where I got that from).

I got my waivers from Chicago in September and December for the '13-'14 and '14-'15 cycles respectively, they send them out later.
