I have heard back from every other school I applied to already, so I'm trying to start making my decision!

Did you get a JS1?

So your post of the number of days since you applied interested me, and I think I'm going to have to call BS on 200 days. I applied 9/18/14, and it's been 160 days since I've sent in my app to Harvard. Radio silence since (no JS1).bobleman300 wrote:Been over 200 days since I applied. Anyone else in the same boat?

If you really applied 8/10/14 and havent heard back... that's nuts. But I thought the apps werent even open until 9/1/14.
Either way... It's been way tooooo long for both of us!!
It's an interesting idea, but I do think the sample size would be too small for anything useful.qwertyTLS wrote:anyone have any ideas of yield for applicants who are above median and applicants who are below median? i'd think those with lower stats are more likely to accept HLS if offered, compared to those with higher stats who either choose YS or receive huge $$ from CCN/full rides from T14. i'm curious if it actually is a sizeable difference or not.
how could we figure this out? maybe looking at Accepted W on LSN compared to Accepted A? but that's probably a really small sample size. thoughts?

I had to go back earlier in the thread and find this. This guy/girl probably just miscalculated, though. No big deal.bjsesq wrote:No call yet. Been pretty trying for me, as I've been waiting since the Carter presidency.

Possible time miscalculation aside, it seems like there are a growing number of people who are close to the median that haven't heard anything. I think the overall consensus has been that this cycle has been different from all the other ones, its a good sign you haven't been rejected/waitlisted already, maybe they are looking at numerically stronger (i.e. well above at least one median) candidates first, and they are going to get to median people later, and don't panic no one really knows.bobleman300 wrote:Been over 200 days since I applied. I waited ~120 for JS1. It could still happen, fam.curlietop86 wrote:tomorrow is my four-month submission anniversary... sigh.smile0751 wrote:Can we all just take a moment to consider the fact that is has TRULY been 160 days since I applied and I've received no response. Not even a rejection!!
Like... I'm even shocked by that stat. 3/18 will be my 6-month submit anniversary.
I originally thought there was a chance I'd receive a response before thanksgiving! How naive of me!
That's 130 days of waking up each morning thinking -- Today's the day!! And 130 days of disappointment.
All you people who submitted in January and are wondering if they should give up all hope.... Think of me and be grateful.

Lol I don't know why but this made me chuckle. Not at you mind, I'm totally in the same boat. There's just something funny about our daily dashed hopes. Like you think we'd just get over it after day 100 but NOPE!w0w wrote:smile0751 wrote:Can we all just take a moment to consider the fact that is has TRULY been 160 days since I applied and I've received no response. Right? I'm coming up on 6 months of nothing. It's a real soul crusher because I am at the point where I will be shocked if I hear anything before March 16th. Plus I keep thinking if I end up on the waitlist and get in/rejected off the waitlist I could literally be waiting 11 months for a decision.alloverthat wrote:Lol I don't know why but this made me chuckle.
