Maybe he's been taking a long vacation out west. That would explain the total silence. He's back in Cambridge now but is still on Pacific Standard Time.Knock wrote:Wow, working late over there in Cambridge.c_dubya_s wrote:Via the HLS Admissions Twitter feed about 1 minute ago:

I was tempted to tweet at him for a second, but I lost my nerve. I settled for retweeting his tweet, hoping he'll notice and equate my Twitter-stalking to a JR1...ExpectLess wrote:Maybe he meant he's reading this thread.c_dubya_s wrote:Via the HLS Admissions Twitter feed about 1 minute ago:

Wait... There's another wave of acceptances coming? Is this for folks currently in post-JR1 limbo?arkansawyer wrote:Honestly, I think we have reason to be slightly more optimistic, if only because applications are down this year. On the other hand, for those of us without jr1s in time for the round of acceptances coming around 4/15, things are beginning to look bleak.r6_philly wrote:I must say the mood is eerily similar to last year's

I'm just going from what happened last year. I could be wrong, I know apps are down this year, however that affects the situation. The Gentleman wrote:Wait... Judging from a quick survey at CLS ASW... my guess is over 500 people are on hold right now.

Held today. 3.5/177... I guess it's nice, but isn't it a bit late for holds? Why wouldn't they just wait to WL/reject me two weeks from now?

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
unless they are waiting for deposits/withdrawals, to accept you!!!!!! You gotta think this is the time alot yale people are making decisions, Chicago ruby people, or Michigan Darrow people. Once they get a grip on the ones who will take the money or take Y or S, I bet they will admit more people. Look at it as a positive. You're a step ahead of the WL people and you didn't get rejected.chasgoose wrote:Held today. 3.5/177... I guess it's nice, but isn't it a bit late for holds? How effective do we think LOCI's are, best case scenario?

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I wrote one immediately after being held in January, and received both my JR 1 and my JR2 a few weeks ago! I'm a pretty marginal candidate, too. Although, if I recall, a couple post-hold JR1s may not have written a LOCI. Couldn't hurt, I guess?
