Anyone else get a really late fee waiver by mail recently? I hadn't been planning to apply to any NYC schools, but I got a brochure and a fee waiver in the mail Saturday. I took the October LSAT, so it's not in response to a December score. I decided to go ahead and apply, what the hell.

yeah just got one from Stanford today and got Penn and Virginia the week before and got Duke a couple days before that. I took the LSAT a year ago so I don't know why their sending them out maybe just to auto reject me and make their numbers look better. But hey it's only 12 dollars it's worth it I think.

Apologize for the temp derail but my sister said something from SLS came in the mail over the weekend that mentioned a fee waiver but I heard that SLS sends letters to people to encourage them to apply for a waiver (haven't been to the house to check it out myself). Did you receive an actual waiver?

yeah I got an actual waiver I also got a packet a while back about applying for a fee waiver but this time I got a waiver. Are you a URM? maybe that has something to do with it as well.

edit*harvard sent me the apply for a waiver email last week as well*

Yale sent me an "apply for waiver" in like november as well. Weird that you got a SLS waiver without applying.

Yale sent me an apply for waiver a long time ago as well. But this is an NYU thread. You can pm me if you're interested in my fee waivers.

My UR date hasn't updated in over a month. This means my app is probably in the massive pile of dings/WL's that NYU has yet to send out, right?

Clinging to a twig. NYU seems pretty behind on sending out first RD rejections - I wonder why?

it looks to me like only autorejects went out in January last year. I think a lot of us in this thread who have not had our DLs sent will hear back in April =/

hmm wonder if there have been rejects and they just haven't posted here...seems like we would've heard from at least 1.
