Unfortunately I think so. Although we'd all like to be proved wrong.Scvaz7 wrote:So the consensus is there are no more straight acceptances right?

Ya that's what I'm leaning toward, although a few more wouldn't surprise me too much.

I don't think you can really say there will be no more straight acceptances, but if there are it probably won't be you that gets it...so plan accordingly.
Rapidly transitioning out of wait and see into let's do this mode here.

So you can get a DLS and then get a snail mail letter that it is a WL? They don't email you if you get Waitlisted?

Correct-both waitlists and rejections are via snail mail. If you go DLS and don't want to wait, you can call the admissions office and find out which one it is.Sojourner2 wrote:So you can get a DLS and then get a snail mail letter that it is a WL? They don't email you if you get Waitlisted?

A friend called.
Decisions are made daily.
He also asked the million dollar question with a favourable answer: Yes, straight acceptances are still possible.

I mean, that's a little bit like them saying "if your status checker says you are under review, you are still under review."lawschool2014hopeful wrote:A friend called.

Soooo I'll be in Stanford tomorrow. Maybe I'll pop in and make an animal sacrifice in front of Faye's office or something.

She prefers large game, preferably with split hooves. And remember to spread fake palm leaves across the alter.jjmaple8 wrote:Soooo I'll be in Stanford tomorrow. Maybe I'll pop in and make an animal sacrifice in front of Faye's office or something.

Also some ancient chants are probably necessary

Were you announced? I could see them thinking "Wait wtf who's this guy and why is he here and why is there a pool of crimson blood from a dead bulldog in my carpet SECURITY!!!"JSWright101 wrote:I popped in last week on my way to Berk to be like 'look, here I am' but I got really awkward all of a sudden once I was talking to them and I don't think I did myself any favors. a school like Stanford, like their peers in the T3, really only consider pure white bulls with no stray marks, anything less won't make an impression on the admissions office...and they're pretty good at detecting bleached bulls. be sure to offer your prayers to Apis before as well as after anointing yourself, nude, as per the instructions they provide in the prospective students FAQ.Jessasaurus wrote:+100Chalupa-Batman wrote:She prefers large game, preferably with split hooves. Shoot! I should have double checked the FAQ before I wrote my personal statement about how great anubis is. Thats almost as bad as forgetting to put your lsac number on the essay.EquallyWrong wrote:a school like Stanford, like their peers in the T3, really only consider pure white bulls with no stray marks, anything less won't make an impression on the admissions office...and they're pretty good at detecting bleached bulls. be sure to offer your prayers to Apis before as well as after anointing yourself, nude, as per the instructions they provide in the prospective students FAQ.Jessasaurus wrote:+100Chalupa-Batman wrote:She prefers large game, preferably with split hooves. Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
I mean, while that's better than a "the class is full so everyone still UR is SOL" response, I think it's kind of a non-answer. Like, it's still possible for Sarah Palin to be president one day in the sense that she's over 35 and a US citizen. Thank God, that's almost certainly not happening in this lifetime.lawschool2014hopeful wrote:A friend called.

Hopefully the odds of our acceptances are similar to Hillary Clinton's chances of becoming president. I'd like THOSE odds.
