Apparently its called the John Henry Wigmore scholarship - has anyone heard of that before? Is it a new thing?
well this kills my chronological theory. I guess NU just doesn't love us as much as it loves you. this would have made my cycle but oh well. congrats!

I explicitly asked for less than 150k in my second essay haha. So I'm hoping that's why I was left out. Congrats to all who heard back though, good for y'all!

For the sake of information... 170/3.8, accepted in first wave, essays submitted mid January, not in a situation where i would get need-aid. did not ask for any amount of money and did not mention any other schools' offers. and thanks for the kind words, guys. im so happy right now and in shock.

Status date changed today, no decision though. Complete about 2 months ago after long wait for interview, submitted in November.

:/ sorry. and thanks. I know this probably isn't helping, but I thought my essays kinda sucked. Granted, that could largely just be me being over-critical of my own writing, but idk.

I hope they still offer u guys some solid aid (maybe some 120k offers we can hope?) that I can be classmates with some of you all.

I saw that, too. I can't imagine I won't end up at Northwestern, but I did look into this. I can't find anything on NU's website that states you need to withdraw your other applications to accept the scholarship. You will, however, need to pay the nonrefundable $750 deposit. If you get accepted to Columbia after that it is up to you whether you're willing to eat the $750 deposit at NU to attend CLS instead.

Anyone else intrigued as to why all the people that got 150K are in such a narrow range of numbers? I don't mean that they aren't desrtving, just interesting that they all seem to be within an LSAT point or two and .1 in GPA.

Perhaps NU thought this was the sweet spot of people who probably can be convinced to come to NU over higher ranked schools with money.

Wow, congrats to all the 150k scholly recipients!

Looks like this batch of awards was going to people right around NU's top quartile LSAT and GPA stats. Hopefully there are some offers coming for us splitters as well.

Didn't you take the Asian LSAT administration in October with me? If so, that makes us best friends... right? In that case... I hope you get Columbia and proceed to forward the $150,000 NU money to your best friend... me. Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Does "forthcoming" mean we will all hear in the next few days? I would love that. I need some good news.

Isn't good news considered getting into Northwestern?

It's going to be mad awkward if I get a big scholly via e-mail during Michigan's ASW. Needless to say, I hope that happens though.

Sorry to come off as a dick. Not intended. Just very debt averse.
