Is time standing still, or is your perception of time standing still? If it seems like no time has passed but in fact it has, then I'd say your life is being shortened.r6_philly wrote:This is adding to my life since time is standing still.eaa1537 wrote:nadopretz wrote:*crickets*

That depends on the perspective. If you are in a space ship traveling at the speed of light, you life is normal on the ship, but extended when viewed from earth ...ExpectLess wrote:

Careful there. Someone merely MENTIONED Photoshopping Dean Deal in the Stanford thread and got DLSed the next day.Nulli Secundus wrote:

But if you're traveling the speed of light, you'll never be able to get a call from JR! You'd have to slow down a bit, in which case JR's voice would be either really slow and deep or really fast and high pitched, depending on if you were headed away from or toward earth. Personally, I'd head away from earth--I think it would make the call a lot more dramatic.

They flushed their queue of WLs on 4/16 last year.misterbingley wrote:r6_philly wrote: 2 more mondays and everyone gets something.

Also the ASW is 4/16 this year, so the flush will be on 4/15 this year.r6_philly wrote: They flushed their queue of WLs on 4/16 last year.

they're definitely doing something in the office cause my new recommendation has been posted recently but not sure what their plan is on releasing decisions- probably some waves of rejections in the next few days and then the waitlists start in a couple weeks...

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Is there Harvard Waitlist 2011 thread? Is it too premature to start one? I haven't heard a thing from Harvard except for "We've received your application" and "Your Application is Complete"eaa1537 wrote:they're definitely doing something in the office cause my new recommendation has been posted recently but not sure what their plan is on releasing decisions- probably some waves of rejections in the next few days and then the waitlists start in a couple weeks...

I read the 2010 waitlist thread, it was NOT pleasant.

Honestly, I think we have reason to be slightly more optimistic, if only because applications are down this year. On the other hand, for those of us without jr1s in time for the round of acceptances coming around 4/15, things are beginning to look bleak.r6_philly wrote:I must say the mood is eerily similar to last year's

There were a few combo JR1/JR2s later, like first 2 weeks in May. I am going to hope for one of those if nothing better earlier.arkansawyer wrote:Honestly, I think we have reason to be slightly more optimistic, if only because applications are down this year. I tried to google an image for "keep your chin up" to lighten the mood here.
The first few dozen hits were humorous and ironic.

Well, your hope is my hope, though it seems a bit thin on the ground here. But waiting worked for some last year, maybe it'll work out for us too!r6_philly wrote:There were a few combo JR1/JR2s later, like first 2 weeks in May.
