My advice upon receiving a DR is to go into expecting that it will take 7 days to receive some sort of notification. At absolute bare minimum - it will be 3 days until you hear anything.

considering cranberrie's letter was postmarked three days after DR, it seems like maybe they're trying to have them reach people around the same time (and not considerably before rejection emails go out), maybe?

In. DR 12/7, complete 12/8, letter postmark 12/9. Live in jersey near NYC, and was beginning to get really nervous that i hadn't heard anything in so long.

I spoke with admissions and apparently all remaining ED should go to decision on the 14th. Mail may take a few days but if it's sucky news then email should be soon.

I'm ED and still havent heard anything. At this point, I'm thinking best case scenario is a deferral or waitlist. I'm pretty sure the acceptance train for ED'ers has already left the station.

I really don't think there's anything to support this pessimism.

Maybe someone who has interviewed can help me out.

It has been two weeks since I was first sent the email about being interviewed and I still have not been contact. Has anyone else experienced this extended waiting period?

I received my request on 12/1. I'm still waiting for the alumn to contact me. They said it may take a few weeks, but I think I'll probably contact them tomorrow to double-check. FYI: there is a thread for those who got interviews at Georgetown. I think it has fallen to the second page, but would be worth a look.

Just got an email thanking me for taking part in an interview and that they are holding my application until January. Is this the same thing as a deferral? I thought this only applies if you are ED, which I am not. Kinda confused...

I just got the same email, and I did not apply ED, although I did apply to both FT and PT. It says I will get a decision by Feb. 26. Thoughts anyone?

Hope is not lost Washingtonian. Just waiting a little longer. You've got good stats. Have you heard from any other schools?

Thank you.... I have heard back from Vandy and UCLA with good news, so I am excited about that. I was just really hoping for Gtown. At least now I can stop compulsively refreshing the status checker.
