When your GPA is higher than their 75th I would say you are entitled to a WL.

That is ridiculous and makes me feel better for not hearing anything. I've been waiting a lousy four months (and it feels like forever).
Seriously, you could have had a baby by now.

3.9+ and 169 Rejected yesterday

Almost didn't open the envelope figuring it was for sure a waitlist. Pretty surprised to see the rejection.

yikes. I thought 18 weeks was excessive.

Oooh that makes me nervous. Those are close to my numbers. At this point, though I don't really care all that much. I'm going to hang in there on the WL(if I get on) but not hold out much hope.

WL yesterday but didnt check mail til this morning. Extremely surprised for obvious reasons. I'll ride it out but have no faith that I'll get in off the WL.
good luck to everyone else!

Don't give up hope yet. I'm 165(retake) and 3.92 (t20, year at Oxford) and I was waitlisted at NYU (and like.. 8 other t 20's). To the person who asked if we less than 25th percentilers feel "entitled" to a waitlist, I doubt my 1400(retake) would predict my college GPA, and I'd imagine the same with the LSAT. Some people just really are not superb "test takers" - there does seem to be more to the process, which has pleasantly surprised me this cycle.

Just stopped at home for a lunch break. Waitlisted and dated 4/19. I'm honored considering my below acceptable LSAT score. But since I love Berkeley, I'm sending my withdraw notice right away. Good luck to the rest of you!

Sorry to hear that man. I have the same LSAT and a worse GPA and I got wait-listed today.
Hope the rest of your cycle goes all right. I haven't gotten in anywhere yet.

I live in Manhattan and I received my waitlist letter today. Letter was dated the 15th but wasn't postmarked until the 21st.
Now that I have heard from my last school, I am sending in my deposit to Georgetown. Here's hoping that I get off the waitlist at NYU.

Now that I have heard from my second-to-last school (screw you USC), I am sending in my deposit to Virginia. Here's hoping that I get off the waitlist at NYU.

Still nothing, but if the letters are postmarked 4-21 then I might get one Saturday or Monday. I live on the West Coast.

Did you all hear about WL by mail? I'm also West Coast.
I called on Wednesday and got a very monotonous "a decision has been sent out to you. You will receive something by next week". It sounded a bit ominous and I'm terrified for the ding.

hey xokel, just curious what your softs were like. we have very similar numbers and background. (feel free to PM if you'd like) You give me a bit of hope for a WL.

Nothing here today. I hope I get WL. I mean, it would really suck to wait so long for a ding.

honestly, is there any chance I'll get off the WL? im well below both medians, decent softs but nothing stellar. i am mex but i dont think thats all to helpful this late in the game. i know they don't "rank" the wl but i am certainly not the most competitive applicant (its a miracle i got WL). is there really any point for me to try and pursue it or what can I do since increase my chances?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
