yeah. I'm going to deposit (I'm happy with Northwestern), and if something (acceptance/scholly) comes up later, I may try to get them to let me in without a depositbirdlaw117 wrote:Yep! For sure. I'm not sure I ever congratulated you on Northwestern, btw. So Congrats! I hope you get in here but Northwestern would be pretty awesome.JamMasterJ wrote:yeah. I'm case anyone's following this thread and not the NYU waitlist one, a few calls went out today. I missed mine, but that might be a good thing. By tomorrow morning I might be able to keep my voice in the proper octave/register.JamMasterJ wrote:When is the first round of WL>admits happening?

Any possibility of getting off the waitlist with numbers under both medians? Or do I have to resort to trying to transfer from cornell after my first year?

First off, you definitely have a chance based on my anecdotal knowledge last year. Second, if you have the grades to transfer from Cornell to NYU next year you probably shouldn't be transferring. But that's a whole different discussion.Lawbro wrote:Any possibility of getting off the waitlist with numbers under both medians? Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
Its a peculiar situation for me because NYU would cost less, since I would be able to move back in with my parents and it's tuition is 10k cheaper. I guess I'm getting far ahead of myself by talking about transferring though, for now I can only hope to get off the waitlist.birdlaw117 wrote:First off, you definitely have a chance based on my anecdotal knowledge last year. Congrats to those who got calls. Were you formally offered admission? Have any more calls gone out?

Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
Hey so after one of those vague "will you come here if we offer you a spot" calls earlier in the week, I checked my status checker at the end of the day today and it said a decision letter had been sent. I wasn't sure what this meant, since I assumed they would have contacted me if I'd been accepted, but it didn't really make sense to reject me (why not just keep me on the WL?). So, I tried logging into ASW with my info and it worked! So I guess that means I'm in and they just didn't tell me?? Anyway just thought I'd let you guys know. I am 168/3.91 non-URM.

I noticed a trend that Columbia is very Reverse-splitter friendly this year - wonder if it's a trend?19871987 wrote:I am 168/3.91 non-URM.
