Should I be concerned that I haven't gotten a status checker yet?

No, they're slow with this part of the process for whatever reason.

It's Tuesday. Raise your hand if you're going to be checking your status online every twenty minutes...

According to SU's website, they only update the online status once per week on Tuesdays. I'm not doing too bad today... think I've only checked 4 times so far?

Funny, I checked every 15 minutes for 2 months... even on weekends (seriously, I recall checking on a Sunday at 3:00 am).According to SU's website, they only update the online status once per week on Tuesdays. I'm not doing too bad today... think I've only checked 4 times so far?
For what it is worth, my status changed on a Friday -- so keep checking!

Re: Seattle 2010
I applied 3/1 and don't have a status checker either. I sent a super nice email inquiring, and got this back:
"We received your information from LSAC on 3/11/10. Your check and certification letter were received on 3/4/10 - your check will be deposited when your application is processed. This time of year we run behind due to the volume of applications that are received. As is stated in your previous email, once your application has been processed you will receive an email updating you on the status of your file."
So I guess it takes time. Arghh.

It seems like the general concensus throughout the thread is that this school has been particularly slow in processing applications.
But not quite as often. There is still this sense of anticipation surrounding Tuesdays. Perhaps a better word is "anxiety"....
Heh, yeah, don't get me wrong, I check other days too.Me-a Culpa wrote:Funny, I checked every 15 minutes for 2 months... even on weekends (seriously, I recall checking on a Sunday at 3:00 am).According to SU's website, they only update the online status once per week on Tuesdays. Wow, so nobody heard anything today? It's past 5 here on the west coast so I assume the online status check isn't going to updated anymore.

I figured as much as well. The waiting continues. According to this forum, Th or Friday could be the next day for updates.

Happy to oblige.
Not to be nosy, but if your profile stats are accurate, you've got some scholarship money headed your way, as well.

Re: Seattle 2010
They are, and I hope you're right. I applied kind of late in the game, but all of my materials were completely tailored to SU because it's the only place I actually care to go at this point. Well, I would have applied to UW but they will only take LSAT scores that are up to 3 years old, and mine are almost 5. Anyway, if things don't pan out with SU for some reason, I'll be back in the hotseat taking that damn test again...Snowdrifter wrote:Happy to oblige.

I finally got the info for my status checker today. Apparently my application has been in review since the 1st of March. I applied on February 19th.

Accepted to SU today!
Heard by Status Checker, which changed to Admitted. Hope you all receive good news today as well, or soon.

Re: Seattle 2010
I'm leaning heavily towards Seattle U at the moment. I just sent an e-mail to the financial aid office trying to persuade them to up my 11K scholarship.
I'm going to the bay area on the 22nd to check out Santa Clara, McGeorge, and U of San Fran. My Seattle U deposit is due on the 19th, so I'll have that in before I leave for Sacramento. Santa Clara is my main option down there and their deposit deadline is the 23rd, so it's going to be a "here's the school, now pay us tomorrow or don't come back" kind of situation haha
anyway, i've been to seattle U a couple times over the past year but never really explored it. My friend and I are gonna drive down there sometime next week and really kinda spent a couple hours just walking around hanging out. I feel like once I get onto campus, dig around, and really explore the building, i'll go from "leaning heavily" to "bay area trip is now pretty much purely a vacation"
and I look forward to meeting you at the dinner! thanks for the heads up about business casual, that's what I wear to work so nice to know I can just go there straight from work and be good to go. did you get an e-mail back confirming your reservation?

Ahh, I see. Sounds good.
And nope, I didn't get a confirmation. I asked about that also because I thought we'd get some sort of confirmation, haha. But apparently once you RSVP, you're confirmed. Looking forward to meet you too! Who else is going??
