Congrats to all who got in! Luckily I probably won't get one of those acceptance phone calls that leave one shaking since I live abroad. I doubt my dad will be shaking if he gets the call. Kinda nice to be surprised by an e-mail instead. I'll put in my request for an e-mail about an acceptance somewhere from someone in the morning!

I can't decide if it's a good thing or a bad thing that so many splitters with numbers in my ballpark are already getting in... but I'll quit worrying about myself and just be happy for you guys!

Yeah, I have to say, I'm a little surprised you got in via e-mail. Sounds like everyone else has been getting phone calls. But you're right-- it doesn't matter. You have reason to celebrate! Congrats!

Rejected! Not too upset cause this gives me a reason to get out of the tundra of Minnesota. Suprised though, I guess degrees from their own undergrad arent enough for their own school.

Got a phone call yesterday. It was super short. The person just said Congrats, you're admitted to the c/o 2013.

I was denied. The email encouraged me to apply as a transfer and gave me a fee waiver to do so. Is this the standard denial email, or am I in a specific category of denials? (E.g. they think I may have what it takes but want me to prove myself elsewhere first instead of taking the risk of admitting me first-year.)

158, 3.4 UChicago Econ major. I also work as a paralegal at DOJ-Antitrust and received a very positive, tailored, and detailed LOR from a MN alum with whom I've worked here very closely. Not a URM, but have a background reflecting geographic and socioeconomic diversity.

I considered MN a long shot when I applied. I'm curious now what the denial implies.

I'm pretty sure that's the standard denial letter, as I got the same one. it was very minnesota nice.
