Hey guys, I have been talking to somebody at UT because of issue with my application and rest assured she said she received my LSDAS stuff last Friday and I still haven't received application complete/status checker e-mail either. She said they've received 2,000 applications so far. I think they are just bogged down. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll get the e-mail soon.

I'm not worried, haha, I just want to hear back from someone so I can start checking out mentally this semester.

You didn't happen to ask how big of an increase 2000 is over this point last year, did you?

Nope - I'm guessing its an increase but I don't know...

last year UT received 4,999 applications. it's only mid-november and they're already at 2000...eep

I would say that with their non-binding early action, that moves the majority of applications earlier in the cycle than other schools.

At least, that's what i would say based on my wealth of knowledge and experience in the subject. (i.e. none)

finally got my status checker! now if i could only figure out where to find my status... maybe it's too early or perhaps i'm just not intelligent enough, but the site is a little confusing. oh well, i suppose it's a great way to waste the time that would be spent worrying about why nobody else has contacted me.

edit: for people that have already gotten status checkers, is any information just posted under "my messages"?
edit: nm. logged back in and it directed me right where i need to go. hooray, i'm complete!

i submitted 31 oct, and according to the lsac website the report was sent by mail 2 nov. i applied ed (non-binding) if that makes any difference with processing times.

my report was sent on the 5th but i applied on 10/20 so I'm just super frustrated it's taking this long. everybody else who applied 10/20 has their decision. stupid technology error.

i got dinged about two weeks ago from UT. I think I sent it in 10/10-20, I heard within 2 week I believe. So it may be a good sign that you haven't been rejected yet, they may still be considering you! good luck.

I wish...they just goofed and didn't request my report and are now bogged down with more apps.

"Processed" on 11/12 according to status checker, but no news yet.

Fearing a ding. No one on LSN with my numbers has been rejected, but several folks just a few spots away have. I'm worrying that they'll up the ante of brutality by rejecting me.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the merit scholarships? I got good news from UT last week and I think they said that I would hear about scholarships in about a week. No word yet though. Anybody know how long it takes and if it's e-mail, mail, etc?

Im not going to lie, I cried!!!!!!! Literally (and Im not kidding) Texas has been my dream law school since the 7th grade lol! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

I want to wish everyone good luck this cycle and always keep the hope up because good things will happen!

I called, because I applied on 11/1, and was told by a frustrated-sounding lady that I was jumping the gun a little bit.

Sorry, but since all my other schools have sent me something to let me know the app was received within a week or so, I just wanted to check.

I think they are overloaded.

I submitted to may schools in October which still have given me absolutely nothing. It takes a while for some schools. You are, indeed, jumping the gun a bit.

Not really. I have received confirmation emails from every other school I have applied to so far.

Maybe not a "gone complete" or something like that, but something that acknowledges receipt of my application.
