decision finalized same day as letter dated 12/21. I hope that $$$ for earlier admits holds true this cycle.

So no money offer came with the mail? Has this been everyone's experience?steelerfan87 wrote:in via snail maildecision finalized same day as letter dated 12/21. I hope that $$$ for earlier admits holds true this cycle.

Did you get into UCLA yet Slansky?Slansky wrote:So no money offer came with the mail? Has this been everyone's experience?steelerfan87 wrote:in via snail maildecision finalized same day as letter dated 12/21. I hope that $$$ for earlier admits holds true this cycle.
EDIT: I see according to LSN that you have not. Fear not, you will eventually. With numbers above both their 75ths, you're a virtual lock. Also, I really hope you didn't pay to apply to Southwestern, California Western, Loyola LA or Pepperdine.

Re: USC 2010!
Congrats to my fellow acceptancees (that even a word?
) can't wait to tear open that USC letter once I get home! YAY!
I've been doing some research on USC and law schools in general, and this article's looking good: According to law.com, USC ranked 14/20 among the schools most recruited by NLJ250's: 47.6% of the class last year were hired into a big firm http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArticleNL ... hbxlogin=1. Personally I'm interested in international law, but it's nice to know I'm already accepted at a school where I could easily go a different route if I chose to. Interestingly, USC seems to be doing slightly better than UCLA
P.S: sorry if the link has been posted before but I figure it can't hurt to post it again

If you want to practice law in Southern California, a USC JD is your ticket almost anywhere.SanBun wrote:Congrats to my fellow acceptancees (that even a word?) can't wait to tear open that USC letter once I get home! YAY!

Does anyone know if there's money info in the later packet?steelerfan87 wrote:ya no money offer in the letter. just a one pager letter stating an admission packet will be coming soon. did get the rothman invite like several others a while back, but nothing new with this mailing.
Money makes the world go around, the world go around, the world go around~
Nothing from UCLA yet. For a couple weeks I was jumping out of my socks every time the phone rang, and yelling at each poor person who wasn't UCLA for tying up the line. Now I am in this kind of bleak resignation stage where I assume I just won't ever hear from them.crackberry wrote:Did you get into UCLA yet Slansky?Slansky wrote:So no money offer came with the mail? Lol, I actually paid for most of my schools because I applied before a lot of their waivers came out. I got refunds from UCLA and Pepperdine, but USC never sent me a waiver (I think because I'd already applied by the time they looked) and Southwestern, CWSL, and TJSL are smaller schools which might not even do waivers. I don't really mind, though

PS: I hope this post works, because every time I click "Preview" it takes me back to a blank reply form.

Big game tonight for USC, and perhaps more so for the Pac 10 as a whole. Obviously neither the Trojans — nor their fans — wanted to be in the Emerald Bowl, but they need a win vs. an underrated BC team to salvage some respect for their conference which has, thus far, looked pitiful in games against Mtn. West opponents. I hate to say I'm rooting for USC, but... Fight On!

For USC, you're a splitter but I still think you stand a decent chance i'd say http://lawschoolnumbers.com/HenryDavid/jdSilverE2 wrote:I wanna get into USC.

Not a great first half for the Trojans. Let's pick it up USC. The Pac-10 needs this big time.crackberry wrote:Big game tonight for USC, and perhaps more so for the Pac 10 as a whole. Yeah, they're going to win this game but not in the dominant fashion they could have. Assuming Oregon beats the Luckeyes in the Rose Bowl, that's 2-2 for the Pac-10. Means UCLA, Stanford and Arizona have to go 2-1 for us to have a winning record in bowl season. Not sure how I like those odds with Luck out and UCLA being utter garbage.managamy wrote:Looking good for USC now!

I think that Stanford will still beat Oklahoma. It'll be up to Arizona.crackberry wrote:Yeah, they're going to win this game but not in the dominant fashion they could have. Re: USC 2010!
The problem for us (Stanford) is that without Luck we have no passing attack and, more importantly, no threat of a passing attack, meaning the Sooners can stack 8 in the box to stop Toby and just cover our receivers one-on-one. Tavita is a mobile quarterback, but against a fast defense, he could be in trouble especially since he can't throw and hasn't started since last year.managamy wrote:I think that Stanford will still beat Oklahoma. I dunno, I think we COULD win, but I wouldn't bet on it. I think Arizona will win and UCLA will lose, so it may be up to us - especially since we're the last Pac 10 team to play (aside from Oregon, which I am assuming will slaughter Ohio State).

A little bitter PK? Not a great win tonight, but a win nonetheless. And looking at USC's cupcake nonconference next year, they'll be back.protokurios wrote:Do we really have to discuss football here?
Though I guess it wasn't the nonconference that bit the Trojans this year...
