My draft is like 2 pages -_-
I sent single-spaced and they didn't crucify me
Not to be that guy, but you can't be sure they didn't. A waitlist "kill" may not be apparent for months
Honestly if they're gonna ding me for this after everything then...so be it

Am I right to send the LOCI to jdadmiss@law.harvard.edu? Have not received an acknowledgment yet....

Good attitude, I'm probably just being super paranoid. There's really not much you can fit into one double-spaced page tbh.

To be fair, you aren't supposed to be writing a second personal statement. The stated purpose of the letter is just to show you're still on board, not to relitigate your whole narrative and application. I think that should be doable in a single page.

That said, I can't imagine them punishing you for making it a little longer; but I also struggle to see how that extra page or two is helping you in any way.

I wrote it as, like...a letter. Formatted as a letter (single page, single space, etc...). Is an LOCI not supposed to actually be written as a letter lol?

Do folks know how serious the 24 hour deadline is? I'm down to make a decision quickly, but 24 hours seems insane to make such a big and potentially life-altering decision. (Never mind that it doesn't leave room to, say, negotiate more $ from the school I end up enrolling at...)

my friends who got off last year said it was legit 24 hours for them..one of them was living in cyprus and hls was still like "yup! 24 hours to figure your shit out"

Off of that, we *are* allowed to make the decision right? That email seemed pretty firm about the whole "by remaining on the waitlist it means you'll enroll" thing, but I was hoping I'd still have the option of the school I deposited at....

LOL I'd like to see them a build a legal case that forces you to enroll at HLS because they accepted you off the waitlist. Just as a fun intellectual challenge

It sucks but I kind of get it -- plenty of people to pick from. Either you want it or you don't.

Edit: my point is: think about it *now*. You will have had a lot of time to think about this!

I think they just want everyone to think about their options NOW and decide now if we would take Harvard at sticker over whatever school we are depositing at, so we can be ready when the call comes to accept immediately.
And if you wouldn't accept, then consider withdrawing.

They just want a take it or leave it type situation because they wang the waitlist to move smoothly.
