Seriously disappointed in my scholarship offer, especially considering I'm an in-state student.

1/10!
same. bummer.
Was this via email orrrr?
Yes, via email. Sounds like they've been a little stingy so far? Guess that's why they send out that form to negotiate!

Yeah, super stingy in my case. $15,000 total. Meanwhile I have $75,000 to Michigan... :|

Just got the $5K/yr e-mail too. Michigan is my other top choice so I'm glad to hear this offer isn't indicative of what I will get from other schools.

Did either of you who heard back today get asked to submit a Why Texas? If so, when did you send it?

I was never asked for one but a paragraph of my personal statement was essentially a Why Texas

I assume in because of call from the office, but no voicemail? LSAT and GPA>75th. Submitted Why Texas on 1/13

Just got the acceptance call. Pretty stoked about this one. :D

If it helps, I went complete around 11/21. Radio silence until I got a "Why Texas" request on 1/12, which I submitted on 1/16. Also, out-of-stater.

I was not asked to and did not indicate a "why Texas" in my application.

Offered an interview after submitting a solicited Why Texas. Guess this means it sucked, but didn't suck enough to ding me?

For those who've received the admit e-mails or packets, has UT given any indication they offer travel stipends for ASD?

Admitted during the interview. They had a question about something in my background and wanted to make sure I wasn't crazysauce.

Yeah, they offer up to $300 stipend based on a short form you fill out online about need. I got an email inviting me to apply for it.

But it's Kira thing. I hate talking to a machine. Guess I'll write to them to ask to talk in person, or just withdraw my app.
