Since I love doing over-analysis of things that I can't change or affect:

Last year, it looks like the likelihood of receiving a JS1 decreased pretty drastically after ~44 days (ref: analytics from last year's thread). So, since it's been 57 days since September 23rd (the first complete of 2016), it would lead one to believe that most of the people on this thread who applied early have fairly low odds of receiving a JS1.

BUT: Last year, the first JS1 came only 27 days after the first complete. This year, it was 42 days. That makes me think that, on average, those of us who applied early still have a fair chance of receiving a JS1.

Thoughts? Again, not that it ultimately matters, but it's fun to talk about

I feel like timings for this cycle are going to be off relative to the previous few years. Not only the fact that JS1's came out quite a bit later than usual but also the fact that people have been reporting that during interviews the admissions person said that it might be a bit of a longer wait for decisions to come out (that's what I was told during my interview). So I feel like we'll still be seeing JS1's coming out in the next few weeks and probably decisions won't happen until late December at the earliest

Interesting. Mine said "in a few weeks," which I took to mean early to mid-December. Was really hoping for something before Christmas. oh well.

Interesting. Mine said "in a few weeks," which I took to mean early to mid-December. Was really hoping for something before Christmas. oh well.

here's to hoping! I doubt I'll hear back until well into the spring because I'm not the strongest candidate and I think they'll want to see December LSAT applications before they make a decision on mine.

JS1 - about damn time haha. I submitted first week, but applied for a fee waiver, so that's probably why so they told me they only started processing mine about a week ago, but still.

Anyone else find that the dates available to interview are totally sparse? Any way to get around that?

Congrats to all the new JS1s!

I'm on a similar timeline, and I wouldn't be so quick to jump to any conclusions. Take a look at last year's spreadsheet -- there were lots of October submissions that were accepted in a big wave mid-December. Plus, it does seem that this year is moving a bit slower than last year.

One other note, of the three new JS1s above, the two 11/9 applicants seem to be international, and the other has pretty stellar numbers (and even then had been on ice since September). Basically there's no predicting these things, so it's definitely way too early to freak out.

JS1! Applied 10/12. How close am I to getting in at this point? On a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is "they interview literally everyone" and 10 is "it's a formality," how significant is it that I got the interview?

Same question over here! Also, what sort of questions are asked? Should I be expecting general questions about my application materials, etc? I'm just trying to scour the internet right now about the general gist of things.

Out of 5000+ applicants about 1200 people get interviews, and of the 1200 interviewees about 900 people get admissions.
