I'm surprised people have already been rejected from Stanford. It makes me feel better about not having heard anything... (It's the little things)

I felt that way at first then I realized it looks like they're going chronologically (at least it seemed the first few rejections were September apps). I was a November app, so presumably my day of reckoning is not far off.

September submit here, haven't heard anything yet.

Yup, snail mail. The standard "Oh look, it's a little thin envelope, must be a rejection" thing from all the movies.

It was a reach school for me, so I'm not upset about it - hopefully some other folks on here get the "big thick admissions packet" in the mail soon!

Very sorry to hear that, for someone who expects to be in a similar situation (S is a black box after all) did they update your status checker beforehand/after telling you a decision was made?

You know, honestly I wasn't checking every day (I had already been accepted to my first choice) but I just looked at the status checker today. Current Status is blank, but it says "A decision letter has been sent." at the top of the page - I imagine that's where you'd want to look to know that you'll be getting something in the mail.

Hey all. Submitted 12/28, received an email 1/4 saying all materials received and to expect a status checker email, then total radio silence. I'm assuming I should just keep waiting patiently for the email with status checker credentials??

Try selecting the forgot password option and entering your info. It will be emailed to you. Your username is the same as other status checkers.

This worked. Thanks! I had in fact written to admissions office a week back asking if I need to submit anything more. No replies too. It's been more than two weeks since I applied. I've got admission decisions from three schools I applied to around the same time or later. !!

Does anyone remember if S needed a Dean's Cert sent for C&F issues?
I've got a minor C&F that my Uni claims didn't even happen (it was so minor they won't release their record of it), but Duke wanted the letter from them stating precisely that. I feel like there was one other school on my list that I needed to get it sent to - but I can't check the application instruction on S anymore since I already submitted, and it doesn't look like it is required from their actual website.

Maybe I should just stop being neurotic and wait like everyone else.

I think Duke/Columbia/NYU wanted when applying. Cornell and S wanted it after being admitted.

Congrats to you too!! LOL the Dean was just talking about ASWs and tbh I could barely listen, I was just focused on keeping my sobs semi-discreet. So... do you guys know when the ASW is?

I still haven't received mine and have been submitted for over 2 weeks.

If you have received confirmation of submission, you can just go to their website and do the whole 'forgot password' deal. I got mine that way, but the checker says they're still processing my app

Does getting into SLS bode well for H and Y? I'd imagine it does for H, because it takes so many more people, but YLS is quite the black box. But then again they take more people than SLS so...

I'd say it's still about numbers on some level. Both H and Y have stronger classes than S in terms of numbers.
Id say you nab H at some point, given your stats.
