I was looking through last year's board for when decisions started coming out (mid Jan btw) there's UR4, UR5...so I don't think you should worry

Interview was kinda rough. Lots of curveballs, little emotion. Questions you wouldn't normally see in job interviews like "if you could meet anyone in history who would it be?" and stuff like that. Be ready for more of those kind of first date ice breakers than you would think as well as the typical "Why law? Why Chicago? Why your undergraduate school?" etc type questions.

To be fair I was asked this at an OCI callback interview this summer.

That "Who would you want to meet if you could meet anyone in history?" question is an oddly common question (not necessarily regarding their interviews, just generally speaking).

I've never done an OCI, but I've never heard that question in an interview in my life, and I've done a lot of interviews for jobs that weren't tied to a school thing.

interviewed and think it went well. there were a few curveball questions, and it started out pretty formal, but my interviewer and i found common ground on a few subjects, and the tone definitely softened significantly as our conversation progressed.

You guys are probably looking at two waves: one in mid to late December for the ED people and one in early to mid Jan. Stay patient and enjoy the holidays - don't stress during a joyous time of year meant to be spent with our families. Best of luck to all of you and stay positive. This is a long marathon and we are probably only in mile 7.

Hi everyone - I applied on the Nov 2 and due to an LOR delay wasn't complete until 8th; I went UR on the 9th and now the date changed to the 23rd. Does this mean anything or just more waiting? Thanks!

yes, in virtually all cases you have to interview to be admitted

My understanding is that this is probably just a matter of UChicago not having released a wave of interview invites since my app went under review, but still, being the neurotic bastard I am, I can't help but worry that it could mean something bad...

Chicago seems to be doing the waves in the order the applications went complete. Mine went complete mid-September. I can think of no other reason why I would be in the first wave. I wouldn't worry if I were you. If there's a wave after you went under review, then maybe begin to worry then
