Received the acceptance email today! Submitted 12/3, interviewed 12/21.
To answer earlier quesitons, I checked the status checker earlier this week and it only said complete, not under review. So I'm guessing they don't update it to "Under Review" for those of you wondering. Also, received an unsolicited fee waiver

I applied. It's not like an ED where it carries any restrictions or indicates elevated interest beyond "I would like a full ride" (which I'm sure everyone would). I don't see how it could hurt your app. I was accepted and applies so I would say go for it.SirArthurDayne wrote:What's the consensus on not applying for it? I don't think I would qualify with my numbers now, but would it impact my prospects of getting in?hopefuljumbo23 wrote:Is anyone applying to the merit scholars? My starts are borderline for Vandy (pretty much on median) so I don't think I'll get it, but I figure it shows interest?
Although, I did see somewhere that they tend to reserve it for the folks that they're trying to snatch back from the T14. I don't know how valid that is but possibly worth considering if your numbers are borderline.

Ugh, me. I'd like to know whether I'm in before I put more time into it, but it's been radio silence for a month.SirArthurDayne wrote:I think scholly info usually starts coming out around March.hopefuljumbo23 wrote:Just curious, does scholly info come right in the acceptance letter? Don't get me wrong, I'm more than excited just to be admitted, I'm just wondering.
Btw, who else hasn't finished their merit scholarship app?

I feel stupid even having to ask this question, but I submitted my application and had my interview in early September, but still have not heard anything from them. I have already been accepted to every other law school I applied to. Does this more than likely mean I'm being rejected? Thanks for the help.

You shouldn't feel stupid. Not for that reason at least. You should feel stupid for asking it, because you didn't HAVE to ask it.Court77 wrote:I feel stupid even having to ask this question, but I submitted my application and had my interview in early September, but still have not heard anything from them. +1. Plenty of time left in the cycle.lymenheimer wrote:You shouldn't feel stupid. Not for that reason at least. Because you have been accepted to other schools has no bearing on this school. They don't call around to other adcomms and ask about their acceptance timelines and collude on a decision-release date. You'll most likely be rejected when you get a rejection email. Just chillax.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
