I know, I was pretty proud of that but it fell flat
I was just confused because a dead canary was a bad sign and meant no good. Healthy living canary meant it is good, and good I associated with acceptance. I thought the Canary was doomed to die everyday until he was raised like a phoenix when you were accepted.

Canary=based
carbon monoxide in mine=acceptance

Edit: With the debt we're going to be taking on, the carbon monoxide analogy works on two levels.
