Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

I met a guy who did. But he went in like the 50s or 60s. He said he and his friends took the LSAT while still drunk from the previous night.

In all seriousness, I've got a second-cousin doing his doctorate there now. So people do get admitted once in awhile I guess.

Finally went complete. It took Stanford a month to check off the study abroad transcript requirement, which is not applicable at all in my case.

But you can do whatever, Stanford, as long as you love me.

Congrats to recently admitted ppl!!

Hey guys. Sorry if this has been brought up before, but the "What to expect when you're expecting" thread claims the "submitted for review" status should only last several days before receiving some sort of decision. My app (submitted late, Jan 2nd) went complete almost immediately, and has been "submitted for review" since the 6th. What's your experience with the submitted status? Has this changed from previous cycles?

"Submitted for review" is just Stanford's way of saying "complete." I doubt it's ever a matter of days... more like months.

^^. I'm afraid you misinterpreted the language in the When you're Expecting thread. It was saying that it shouldn't take more than a few days after you've submitted your application for your status checker to change to "Submitted for Review." After that, there are no status checker updates until a decision has been rendered so you just have to sit back and wait.

Wishful thinking, critical thinking, and anxious thinking are the unholy trinity.

FWIW, admitted students FB page just went live. Only about 25 people in it at the moment, surely many who haven't yet accepted invite.

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

When you glance quickly at your caller ID and read "Stamford, CT" and freak out for a split second until you reread it.

Ok, so every image of a skeleton next to a phone is huge.
