Thank you soo much !! Im curious about the following:
- Can someone without a math or engineerimg background do GW's IP program and reasonably expect to get a job?
- What type of jobs do ppl with median grades take?
- How easy or difficult is it to write onto LR or journal?
- How easy or difficult to get your first choice clinic?
...I have other questions but my brain is not working at the moment. Its too early in the morning..
Thanks !! ;)

Anyone know anything about GW's TFA scholarship? Amount and stats that get them?

Any insight is appreciated!

A thought occurs to me. First five TLSers only! Not itchin to buy drinks for the whole school. Gotta find someone with a little bluer blood than mine for that one.

Checking in. Applied kind of late in the cycle (two weeks ago), but both stats are above 75th. Hoping all the money isn't gone by the time I hear a decision!

I would like to know the answer to this as well. I have significantly larger offers on the table from Wash U, Emory and USC. I have an offer for the same amount of money from Alabama, but that defrays a significantly larger portion of the costs there.

How soon after acceptance did you all hear back on both merit and need-based scholarships?

I sent a negotiation email this week. I basically just said that they were one of my top choices but financial issues are a concern, then I said exactly how much I was offered elsewhere (it was more than GW offered me) and said that if they matched the other offer it would make it much easier for me to choose GW.

I'll let you guys know how they respond

They said they aren't going to review scholarship negotiation requests until early April and they'll notify by April 13th, so if anyone wants to negotiate they have to deposit by April 1st and then wait to see if they're willing to increase

Thanks for the info; if they start reviewing after the first deposit, (I know this isn't exactly how it works) I guess this means they'll have some money freed up from people who didn't deposit. trying to be optimistic at least.

Any insight on how long the GW turnaround is for apps? I only applied beginning on Feb but I'm wondering if the "please allow for 8 - 12 weeks" is the expected timeline.

I submitted 1/23 and heard back in 2 weeks. Probably depends on how competitive a candidate you are?

It's just after the first deposit, right? Since it's so early, that seems like that case, so yeah you can make multiple first deposits, you're just out of that money if you choose a different school. Plenty of people put in more than one first deposit to buy more time.

GULC/GW double depositors are the best double depositors
I couldn't agree more.
I didn't see anything in the GW scholly email that prohibits double deposits, but does GULC allow that as well?

Does anyone want to have lunch with me and GW Professor Jeffrey Manns for March 6 Admitted Students Gathering?

It's at Jupiter, which is one of the best bars in Berkeley, so I hear.

eta: hmm how about SF/Palo Alto one?
eta: grammar

I'm considering it? I would probably be running late, but I do like Roaring Fork and would like to put faces to names ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
