I did. Had a very compelling offer from another school they took very seriously. Was increased 2/3s more than my initial offer that was high initially anyway. Waiting to hear back from 1 more school if they will match. Heard W&M doesn't negotiate often so the increase is well received.

Any tips on this? I am hoping to send in a letter to reconsider upping my merit scholly. Thanks!

Withdrew officially. Hopefully that's one more open spot for a W/L-er and some more $$$ for the rest of you.

Also... Is anyone potentially looking for a roommate? I have a German shepherd, he's just now about six months. I'd like to find someone with a bigger dog ideally. It would take a lot of guilt off me in terms of being busy with school and such.

Thanks!
I'll be in Williamsburg in the fall as well. I don't have any idea about tourst-y ness and fun factors, but I do have a dog. I'm not looking for a roommate, but if you go there we can let them hang out so we can feel less guilty. I've got a Golden Retriever/Catahoula Hound mix, and I'm going from living with three dogs to one, so I hope he doesn't get too bored!

Sent in a letter to Dean Shealy yesterday about upping my merit scholarship yesterday afternoon. Got a response and a decent scholly bump by 10 am this morning. If you haven't already at least tried to negotiate, I highly recommend it. It can't hurt you at all, and it can sure as heck help.

Credited.

I did the same after this was posted, received an email back this morning. Was raised from $8k/year to $12k/year. Not sure it's enough to sway me not to sit out a cycle and retake for less debt, but still is nice to have that option.

Also, I'm a 155/3.82 non-URM. So if you think they won't raise because your LSAT is lower, it doesn't hurt to try. Yours probably isn't lower than mine.

Did you all use another offer to negotiate?

I had an offer for 60k from Minnesota but realistically you don't need to, it's worth a shot even if you don't have one. Tell them you're debt averse etc. but yeah I did.

Does anyone know when folks on the wait list will begin to get offers to matriculate?

It says online the wait list will be updated and posted on May 1st. Whatever that means.

Deposits are due May 1st, so I'd assume people on the WL will start hearing shortly after.

Officially withdrew last week in favor of waiting a cycle to retake/reapply. That's a spot along with $36k open. Good luck everyone!
