I also met with a professor who is a family friend. All in all glad I did it. Gorgous campus in a nice location... I grew up down the street and have driven by probably tens of thousands of times, and not once toured the campus.

If everything works out and I end up going it will be wicked convienient to be able to drop the dog off at my parents place on longer days.

Subtle 'wicked' drop after telling us you lived in Boston

Technically not in the city (in Newton, where BC is located), but yes I grew up there. By car with no traffic its maybe 10 minutes to downtown. Public transportation is closer to a half hour. It is an excellent location, though you do get some of the upper-class yuppi-ism. Plenty of Priuses, (prii, prius?) are used to travel between summer homes and mcmansions haha. It is a beautiful, safe area with great food nearby, close to the city, but quiet.

I was accepted this fall but recently withdrew -- hopefully that will open up a spot for some of you on the WL.

womp womp

waitlisted.

What's the general advice for waitlist? I've been reading that some people send a letter of continued interest or something like that. Any pointers?

Any scholarship news yet? Website says they typically start awarding money at the end of January so we should start to get info soon, right?

I got an email from the school a few days ago with important dates and deadlines including this:

February: Scholarship awarding Awards will be sent via email to admitted students throughout the winter/spring.

If I get one more e-mail from Boston College unrelated to my application status, I'm gonna flip my shit. Just got an e-mail about their new roommate search engine. :|

I am "being reviewed" as of today. Does anyone know how long that was their status before receiving a decision?

There is no "current status" section for me on my BC application when I check their status checker. Is this normal? It has been like this since my app went complete.
