I take it from everyone saying "just now" that these are trickling out and I should therefore expect mine to arrive in my inbox within the next hour or so?

I went complete in mid-November but haven't heard one way or the other. Should I expect not to be admitted, since people who applied way later have been admitted?
And are the rejection emails still trickling out today?

Everything at Yale is incredibly random, from what I've gathered. There will be Day 1 submitters who will be rejected in April, and February submitters who will be admitted before the end of this month. There are some small waves like today, but it's generally total chaos.bdyson wrote:I went complete in mid-November but haven't heard one way or the other. It may be chaos in the grand scheme, but it seems like many of today's dings are November batch applications, no? I'm so sorry to everyone who got the bump today, but with the killer stats you guys are reporting, you'll have great options anyway.LetsGoMets wrote:Everything at Yale is incredibly random, from what I've gathered. Re: Yale c/o 2018 (2014-2015 Applicants)
According to Dean Asha, some admits are instantly selected (about 80, if I remember her post), while the rest are selected after a faculty review. FR is 100% up to those professors, and you need 3/3 to approve you to get admitted. So those who were admitted and applied after you are likely the auto-admit types, and you shouldn't be worried since there's a chance this just means you're under faculty review (though rejections are trickling, so who knows).LetsGoMets wrote:Everything at Yale is incredibly random, from what I've gathered. I see sent dates from 10/1/14 to 12/7/14 on LSN dinged today, so it looks like a relatively broad time range. And agreed that everyone today will have/already has amazing options.ThePinkRanger wrote:It may be chaos in the grand scheme, but it seems like many of today's dings are November batch applications, no? Yeah, this is my first rejection and I'm totally ok with it. Rejection only really hurts when you expect otherwise. I did not expect otherwise.

Dinged as well. Email came in 1:08 central. Probably doesn't bode well for my stanford app.

Rejected at 12:09 mountain time. Fully expected it, but figured I could pay the $60 fee and hope someone might mess up on my application.
