I was accepted to Duke last year, but I decided to reapply. Now they are playing with my emotions:

Just got a PT invite. Sounds good, right? Too bad I already applied. What's even more interesting, they denied my request for PT when I asked the first time.

Does anyone have a copy of the email Duke just sent out? I am highly intrigued by this.

Nevermind: I forgot I know people who know people. Got it!

Would someone be so kind as to clarify? I got the PT update email on the 26th; is that the email being discussed?

...man, my neuroses are particularly controlling through this process.

I'm in the same boat as you. I received a very nice offer from Duke last cycle but ended up having to withdraw all my apps. I could not guarantee my ability to follow through on a deferral, so I didn't want to go that route either. Needless to say, I am holding my breath after applying PT this week. After my interactions with their alumni, Duke is probably my top choice this cycle. I wasn't sure how to approach reapplying after a successful application and generous scholarship offer just six months prior. I revised my PS (without substantially changing it) and wove a concise explanation into my "Why Duke" essay (which I didn't bother writing last cycle, FWIW). Hopefully, that will be enough to convince the committee I am worth another offer. We shall soon see! Best of luck to you! ...and nice avatar!

Yeah. I received this email as well. It sounds like a nice opportunity to discuss your particular financial aid situation with Duke. I don't see much of a downside.

Because you've applied so early in the cycle, you must get a grip on this, like, yesterday. I suggest you take up Clash of Clans.

Under review as of this morning. Hopefully they still like me.

Has anyone inquired about interviewing in person? If your interview can effect your scholarship offer, then i'd much rather sit down face to face.

How long after the email acceptance do you receive the package in the mail?

I think the only interview is for Mordecai, which has to be done in person. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Not necessarily so. I know at least some individuals are interviewed without Mordecai, but I believe the school will request/offer the interview if desired. If questions on details, PM me.

Congrats! Are these still "provisional acceptances"?

Also, I feel so behind waiting for my LSAT score.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
