I thought I was for sure dinged since I was OOS and didn't write a "Why Texas." Very happy with this development!

Sorry to hear that, DW. I'm sure you'll land somewhere good. Please PM your numbers to me if you don't mind.Dream_weaver32 wrote:Won't be staying in Texas for law school. Got the deny email this morning.

In a few weeks ago via the call.
Has anyone heard yet on scholarship information or will that occur later in the cycle?

There will come a time when they'll say "if you have scholarships you will hear by XXX date." Last year's was in January, although most still heard within 2-3 weeks. If you are curious, don't hesitate to call admissions.Tuxedo wrote:In a few weeks ago via the call.

PSA on scholarships: Keep a very close eye on your spam folder. My scholarship email went to spam, and it happened to several other TLSers too.

In via SC dated 12/1, although I'm pretty sure I checked yesterday and it wasn't there, so it may have taken a day to show up. OOS, RD, complete 9/30.

I got an out-of-office response from Dean Ingram's email. She's out until Thursday. I'm not expecting to hear anything until after that.Lions1913 wrote:I submitted a why Texas on Friday and haven't heard...anyone experiencing the same thing?

Any other OOSers with competitive numbers not asked to write a "Why Texas"?

I wasn't asked to last year. I didn't have YP numbers or borderline numbers, and had no ties to Texas and gave a generic app.Winston1984 wrote:Any other OOSers with competitive numbers not asked to write a "Why Texas"?
Wouldn't worry about it; maybe worry if you're in YP territory. (I was like a tad above 75 lsat tad below 50 gpa).

just saw on the status checker that I was admitted yesterday.
OOS, RD, no why texas, GPA = median, LSAT > 75%

OOS (but from Texas originally), RD, no why texas, GPA = median, LSAT > 75%
I thought TX's status checker was supposed to be useless, so I haven't been checking it. Guess I will start.
