This. Friday seems too late for first round ED and Monday too soon.
They extended ED interviews by a week or so after the original deadline. I think Monday is possible but probably wishful thinking. I don't think they'd want to wait until Friday. If they planned on that and fell behind decisions would fall back to the week of Christmas.

Do adcoms work week of xmas? It seems like if we dont hear anything this coming week decisions are going to get pushed back into January.

It's possible someone will be in the office Monday or Tuesday but I wouldn't be surprised if many have that time off. On NU's ED page it states applicants will be notified by the end of December. I feel like they will meet that deadline.

Hey, did anyone else write an addendum of some kind? If so, does it show up on the application components checklist on your Status Checker?

Have my Skype interview this week, I've seen people say that the questions are Who,What,When,Where,Why
But, if someone could PM me specifics, I'd appreciate it.

Recent interviewees, how long has it taken for your status to update to complete?

Mine updated within 20 minutes, but it seems like it has taken others as long as a week.

Thanks. Been almost a week without an update for me. Assuming they're busy with ED decisions so I'm going to wait another day or two to email them.

To other EDers: In the status checker, do your statuses still read "Application Complete," or is there an Under Review designation you have reached?

My actual status is just "Application Complete," but a note at the top of the page now reads "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee."

Hoping to see a status change soon... it's embarrassing how often I've been refreshing my status checker.

That's my top line as well. Just thought it was odd that the Current Status line didn't match. Thanks for confirming!

I'm 100% with you. I have a physical reaction to every email received alert on my phone as well. Stomach drops, heartbeat and breath stop, and I check immediately. Usually just spam from Regent or Quinnipiac. I'm ready for this decision to come out, regardless of the potential heartbreak.

I'm a current interviewer, and I just wanted to clarify that there isn't a set list of questions for the interviewers to ask. Yes, as people have previously mentioned, we are provided with a list of suggested questions, but each interviewer chooses which questions he/she wants to ask. I change up my questions in each interview, and if I think someone may have had the questions in advance, I am more likely to ask a question or two that is not on the list of suggested questions. Basically, even if you do get the list of suggested questions from someone, don't assume that those are the only questions you will be asked. Just try to be as articulate, personable, and knowledgeable as possible, and you will be fine.

Fellow NU student?

And I did get questions from 1 guy via PM, but I guess as a 3L I'm most helpful to 1Ls/2Ls who have questions about classes to take/WTF is OCI/etc etc. I'm pretty far removed now from the application process. I remember the pain that is refreshing status checkers, tho.

You betcha! Agreed re: status checker pain. Permanently seared into brain.

Whoever got low-key pissed at me and dropped the sardonic comment: that was fair.

tbh I think dabigchina was being totally serious. for the most part I think we're pretty self-aware about the nature of our baseless speculation and pointless stressing

Kind of surprised status checker pain still registers, now that you've both been in the throes of law school final exam pain. And here I was comforting myself with the thought that this time next year I'd be in worse shape than now. Yay, I think?

(My apologies to everyone who's going to see this moved up to the top of the forums and assume that there's some news to be had. NOPE!)
