Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Oh good! No JS1s today!! I was at the Houston LSAC forum and totally forgot about JS1s. My SO just asked me if I heard anything and I almost had a heart attack thinking they came out and I didn't get one.
Nothing to see here.
On the other hand the forum was interesting....

Just submitted. Anyone know when mid/late October people should expect to hear about JS1's?
Good luck to the people on the brink of that first interview!

Ditto this, I've just submitted too. I wonder when our JS1 will be (that is, if I get a JS1). Maybe in late Nov?LawBron James wrote:Just submitted. Anyone know when mid/late October people should expect to hear about JS1's?

I wonder what the odds are that they already started coming out and none of us got one.

idk, but I'd guess pretty low. there have been 100+ votes in the polls, and lurkers tend to come out of the woodwork to report JS1s/acceptances.w0w wrote:I wonder what the odds are that they already started coming out and none of us got one.

So btw Harvard does do Q&A at a lot of undergrads, and they are worth going to. You don't get any real info, but you get to shake someone's hand and even though they won't remember you it is a good thing to be able to work into an interview later.
Also they have a sign in sheet that they may reference when they look at your app. So go to them.

And for those of you who don't trust Lavitz's impeccable predictive powers, there are now 10 interview slots open starting 11/4.

How far out were they scheduled last year from the date js1s went out??
Also, if you get an interview and pick a time slot are you able to change it later? My boss has been in the habit of calling me to do random stuff lately and not granting my requests off...

Yeah, I attended one of those Q&As, & I got to speak with JS one on one. It was really exciting! She is pretty down-to-earth.Pneumonia wrote:So btw Harvard does do Q&A at a lot of undergrads, and they are worth going to. I don't exactly remember, but this timing seems right. And I think you can change your slot, but I really wouldn't. Don't rock the boat if you don't have to.w0w wrote:HorseThief wrote:And for those of you who don't trust Lavitz's impeccable predictive powers, there are now 10 interview slots open starting 11/4.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Got an invitation from HLS to participate in an online information session...why do they keep doing this to us?
On a separate note, does anyone know what a JS1 invite actually looks like? What's in the subject line, etc.?

1 - did people just get the email about online info sessions?
2 - anyone know anything/have insight about them? (Worth attending? I probably will, but...)

Between this and the Harvard Women's Association email.... I think they are toying with us. Glad to know they have a sense of humor.

Minor update: there are 25 slots for interviews. Anyone want to look up how many people JS1's in the first wave? I feel like it was more than 25.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
There was definitely more than 25 judging from the spreadsheet from last year. I'd imagine they are creating interview slots right now? Looks like they created 15 more from when you posted this morning...so I'd guess more are on the way.HorseThief wrote:Minor update: there are 25 slots for interviews.
