ETA but I think you're below both 25th's, so it doesn't make sense to apply until you have a better LSAT.

wait didn't the other McGill guy say he has a 3.2/ 166? I don't think a 166 is below Georgetown's 25th. The 2017 medians thread in the admissions forum says GULC's 25th is 163

Received acceptance letter but online status checker just says application complete and there is nothing under mailings. Is this normal?

Same here -- appears to be the new norm.

Hey I read through a few forums and saw that it takes about a week for u to go complete. It took a couple days for me to go received but I also read that the status checker doesn't update? Will they let me know when the app is complete? I have all my materials in just haven't gotten a confirm of completeness

Thx in advance

I'm curious about this as well. I submitted on 9/29, and received confirmation that the application had been received on 9/30. Never got an email confirming the application is complete (or anything else, for that matter), although the status checker indicates that it is and one of my LOR writers received the "thank you" email.

My circumstances were pretty similar to yours (submitted, received confirmation email, complete via status check but no email indicating complete, LOR writer "thank you" email). I rec'd my decision a few days after my LOR writers got the "thank you" email.

First, congratulations on getting in!

My LOR writer forwarded the "thank you" email to me on 10/6. Haven't received any communication from Georgetown since then. Anyone know if that's an indicator of anything?

I doubt it's related. My LOR writer forwarded the email while my app was still being held for my last LOR.

I'm right there with you. I applied on the day the application opened, application has been complete since somewhere around 9/20 or so, and one LOR writer that I know of received email about 10/6. It's been quiet since. I've been stalking my mailbox to no avail.

Mine had my first and name inserted, but it was VERY form. I've copied and pasted it below.

Dear Mr. Law Girl ATX Boss Man,

Thank you for submitting a recommendation to Georgetown Law on behalf of Law Girl ATX. We truly appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts on Law Girl with our Admissions Committee.

Each admissions cycle, Georgetown Law typically receives more applications than any other law school in the country. Our Committee depends upon recommendations to help us get to know who each unique applicant is behind the application. Consequently, your first-hand input is critical in helping our Committee make the difficult decisions we face as we try to assemble our class. Thank you again for your insight and for participating in our admissions process.

With gratitude and best regards,

Andrew Cornblatt
Dean of Admissions
Associate Vice President for Graduate Admissions and Enrollment

Whose civpro class are you in?
Not the infamous Abernathy if you've heard of him and that's why you're asking haha. I have Vladeck and he's an awesome professor. Been there done that as far as litigation goes and has a good way of keeping class interesting.

Yeah I heard he lighted up a little. People who have him tend to get an "I'm better at civpro than you" complex which is annoying AF. You weren't in the "low hanging fruit" class were you? Heard that was a gem. TheSpanishMain actually has Abernathy.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
