Amazing news. Not liking the increase in 170+ takers though, from a purely selfish perspective.MikeSpivey wrote:I can do better than my earlier news and your recipe.middlebear wrote:This, and securing a rec with brownies. Eh don't worry about it. It's all of us TLSers following the TLS "retake" mantra.

Here is the final piece of data from June LSAT:
"The percentage of repeat test takers for this administration compared to the same administration last year has increased. For June 2014 , 27% had previously taken the test. In June 2013, 22% had previously taken the test."

Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
Question to all:
If you receive an email from a law school that you have listed in yout application list on LSAC, but haven't applied to them yet, can they already kind of decide if they will accept you? For instance, I got an email from a law school stating my LSAT score and that coupled with my GPA should gain me acceptance should I apply. Are they just sending that to boost their applicant numbers, or do I really have a high chance of being admitted? I know we all get tons of law school emails, but this one was specific.

How are your numbers relative to their medians?KAYCEE wrote:Question to all:

I would guess more people below GULC's median LSAT applied than before, so this might not mean much if I'm correct. Their 25th dropped significantly, maybe making GULC a more attainable reach for some.should-i-do-it wrote:no buenofoles wrote:FWIW I was at a GULC info session earlier today and the admissions person said their app numbers for this cycle are up.

Re: TLS c/o 2018 Applicants
Idk if the increase in 170+ scores is going to be a negative for any of you though. I'm too lazy to look up the data, but considering the amount of test takers and applicants have been steadily dropping, the percent increase could still yield lower absolute numbers of 170+ applicants.
Regardless of all these interesting data points though, just make the best application that you can and don't worry about all of this. You either have the right numbers, or you don't and you need to retake, that's all any of you can do at this point.

You have a great LSAT score. Apply, and things will go well. But again, I think one of the most important things is to remain grounded and humble. You can make predictions off of LSN and whatnot, but schools don't owe you anything and you may not get places/money you thought you "should" and you may get places/money you thought you "shouldn't." Just make a strong application and be patient.Learn_Live_Hope wrote:All this data is giving me a headache
