Sent in my LOCI last night after proofreading it 100 times. Hoping that JS1 comes soon!

I was wondering that as well, but didn't want to lay out any false hopes (if it turns out to be such). Rooting for everyone though

Does anyone have the link to the waitlist statistics for recent years? Thank you!

I apologize if this has been asked and answered, but how much time elapses between an interview invite and the actual interview (on the off chance that I receive an interview invite)?

Depends on the schedule. Usually the only open spots have been ~2 weeks in advance, but I bet they'd be much sooner now.wheelhouse12 wrote:I apologize if this has been asked and answered, but how much time elapses between an interview invite and the actual interview (on the off chance that I receive an interview invite)?

Ya, if there are going to be JS2s around the 15-20th like an adcom suggested, I imagine that they'd have to move more quickly.

I just feel like I could use a couple days to prepare properly--I'm sure others would agree.
Edit: I looked at last year's thread for a while and found JS1s offered in April with plenty of time to prepare for an interview.
It looks like they're holding off on WL JS1s until May this year.
Also: there will probably be less waitlist movement than last year since last year they aimed quite low with initial offers.

I'm excited for this process to start! Crazy to think in the next month we'll finally have an idea of where we are actually going

Anyone want to throw out some baseless conjecture on interviewed on WL or not interviewed but on WL?

You mean chances of acceptance based on whether someone has interviewed already or not?nothingtosee wrote:Anyone want to throw out some baseless conjecture on interviewed on WL or not interviewed but on WL?

Sure. Or guesses as to how the adcoms view the two.drawstring wrote:You mean chances of acceptance based on whether someone has interviewed already or not?nothingtosee wrote:Anyone want to throw out some baseless conjecture on interviewed on WL or not interviewed but on WL?

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2017 - WITH SPREADSHEET!
IIRC there wasn't any discernible trend from last year's spreadsheet, and former head adcom Toby Stock said there is no difference.
I have seen a few people suggest that perhaps it's better to get an interview off the WL, because those who already got interviews had a chance to impress and didn't make the cut, but I don't think much evidence suggests that one is better than the other.

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2017 - WITH SPREADSHEET!
I'm surprised that no JS1 has been reported today. This is much different from the last cycle's timeline. If we can get a sense of the total size of the WL relative to last year's, we may be able to infer their deposit rate and how many they likely need to pull off the WL this cycle.
