Withdrawn, albeit painfully so. UNC was my #3 choice, but the scholarship package wasn't competitive enough with OOS tuition cost. I hope my scholarship ($14,000 per year) makes it to a TLSer.

Thanks! Hopefully the money get spread around!

On that note, did anyone get new financial aid awards or info?

If they said "some", probably that. Plus the deposit deadline has passed, and if you submitted your app way before the deadline there has to be a reason they've waited so long, aka they probably don't want you and want to see how their class is filling out. With that said, I hope they do haha I'm still waiting...

The email includes a link to opt in or out of the waitlist. Maybe since you haven't heard anything yet, if people opt out, there will be another round of waitlists? Or maybe y'all will get those precious few admits left

YAY! a decision, WAITLISTED

Today 4-25-14 during lunch I checked my status, have not gotten the email yet. I will definitely ride this out.

I am busy today at work so I plan to mail my LOCI (paper letter) on Monday. I had a promotion at work, but that is the only thing positive number-wise going from a level 1 engineer to a level 2 engineer out of three levels.

Pretty low chance of getting off the wait-list, but I do live nearby in Durham so I will probably hold out until the last minute, and just move forward with the other law school nearby. I feel like I have good options at both places and I am just happy I was not rejected entirely. I wish everyone lots of luck!!!

If you want my numbers I am the only one reported for wait-list in this cycle on lawschoolnumbers.com for UNC and with the same user handle.

I'm local also (grew up in CH, live in Raleigh) so I'm curious which other school you're going with. I'm riding the UNC WL and depositing at Wake, but I applied everywhere in NC except Elon and Charlotte, plus several OOS.

Wake and Elon are an hour away.

My husband is in residency at UNC so Wake and Elon are too far. I have to choose between NCCU night or Campbell day. Since I plan on being in the public sector the pay between all three schools is negligible and due to scholarships the money is about equal too. It really comes down to location for me, alumni network and other softs like school organizations and course offerings. Also safety, downtown Durham is no joke.
