How quickly after the status checker did most of you get answers?

I found out 8 days after receiving the status checker though I'd been complete for more like 2 weeks.

How do you know when you were complete if you didn't have the status checker?

Like livefromannarbor I was a umich undergrad. They keep your student id the same. Possibly forever actually, my mom was a umich undergrad back in the Jurassic period and is taking classes again with the same id.

And congrats to everyone who just heard!! I'm also an ann arbor native and happy to answer any questions.

Actually, if you guys are looking for a feel of what goes on around campus, poke around on michigandaily.com which is the student publication. It's fairly well-written (And actually considered more reliable than the Ann Arbor paper as a journalistic source sadly enough) and might be fun to satisfy those constant urges to obsess

Checking in. Should have my app in later this week, still need to polish my PS and write a "Why M". My GPA is well below 25th (above 3.0 though), but I got a one-take 174 so I'm really hoping they need to stretch for the high LSATs this cycle. Michigan is my top choice right now.

Sooooooo, I'm an idiot.

I'm applying for Michigan residency on account of my military status. Several weeks ago, I got a letter saying it was granted, but that they needed a couple documents to confirm. I said, "Great, I'll just send those right in once they accept or reject me."
After checking my status daily for way too long, I went back and re-read my letter. It actually said they needed those documents to confirm my status AND to finalize acceptance of my application.
So, I sent it in, and I guess I'll hear from them relatively shortly. But if anyone else is in my shoes and has some residency issue unsettled, you might want to clear that up before just going crazy checking your status.
