What do you mean "an angry letter in response"?

just got a really angry letter in response, looks like i've totally ruined my chances of getting into Hastings :'(

i emailed the admissions office about my application status, and got a very angry letter in response

You didn't really answer that question; was it like all-caps or what? In what substantive ways was the content of the letter angry in tone?

And I'm sure while the letter may have reflected the stressful nature of the admissions process for those who work in the department at this juncture, I don't think it could have been so angry that it would effect your chances of admittance.

That said, emailing the dean directly probably wasn't the best idea. Best to leave those administrative qualms to those at the lower levels

How many emails did you send exactly?
What was in the last email response you received, in terms of content and tone?
Definitely stop pestering them.

Not to be mean but I saw in the USC thread that you had emailed someone requesting a quicker decision. I definitely understand that you're anxious, but we all are, and I don't think that bothering the admissions office is gonna help your case. If anything, it's gonna hurt you. Just saying for your own sake.

Checked to see if I could get onto the admitted students' link. Before when I had attempted this it recognized my LSAC number, but would not allow me to create a password. Today it let me create a password, but I cannot get onto Outlook. How far can admitted students get with this process?

To be exact, I sent them three emails, one to the dean, one to the associate director of admissions, and one to the admissions office. I emailed the admissions office telling them that I have to leave the country in late March due to family issues. (P.S. I am an international student, so getting accepted or not really determines whether I can return to the States or not ><)

It was an angry letter in the sense that the writer expressed his displeasure with my emails, and asking for "special treatments," and that I should not expect a different response from the same office.

Yeah, I was not expecting a waitlist. I'm pretty much UW or bust off of their waitlist. For the time being, I'm going to focus on Davis.

When you log in there will be an orange picture link on the right side that says admitted students. Clicking on that will get you to something for paying on your account. I'm admitted and can't access the outlook accounts either, pretty sure they're not active yet.

For all those concerned with not being able to log-in to the Hastings accepted students Outlook:

Trust me, you're not missing out on much by not being able to sign in. At this stage, the only section you'll have access to is billing, in which you'll find a nice outstanding balance for a deposit waiting for you.

So I'd just say relax for now because all you're missing out on is not being able to give them money today.

Applied early December. Waitlisted today. I will stay on because of ties to the area and the clinic offerings. I am also curious to see the effects of the changes being made I keep hearing about. Best of luck to everyone!

some people will withdraw after the scholarship reward, Hastings take people off WL very quickly
