And I'm sure while the letter may have reflected the stressful nature of the admissions process for those who work in the department at this juncture, I don't think it could have been so angry that it would effect your chances of admittance.
That said, emailing the dean directly probably wasn't the best idea. Best to leave those administrative qualms to those at the lower levels
How many emails did you send exactly?
What was in the last email response you received, in terms of content and tone?
Definitely stop pestering them.
