You decided not to go to law school?
Yeah, it was a really tough call. I just ultimately decided that 300k in debt was not a smart choice for me, and because of my GPA I'd be looking at sticker just about anywhere worth going.
I think for some people sticker at UVA may be worth it, but I don't think it'd be a smart move for me to take on that much debt regardless of the school.

Thank you. I think I'm going to start my own business and just work wherever until it takes off. Trading one high risk path for another
Good luck in law school!

I really appreciate UVA's kind weekly update emails even though they asked me a question regarding wheter I am still interested in UVA 'several times'
Did UVA emails ask everyone to reply to the UVA waitlist e-mails more than once

Anyone aware of movement this week? Haven't seen any new numbers popping up here or on LSN since the weekend.

Doesn't really seem to be any T14 WL movement other than a little any NYU. H is supposed to admit a big wave either next week or the week after, and my theory is that you'll see open seats trickle down through the rest of the T14 as people get off the WL at higher-ranked schools.

Yeah, you may be right. Only reason I asked is that Dean Richard said they anticipated making offers this week (but obviously that's no guarantee).

Just got the weekly waitlist email update. It's like every time my email count goes up by one, my heart skips a little beat.

With the weekly update, Dean Richard wrote, "We appreciate hearing from you and hope you are able to wait with us."--does that imply that she wants a reply? In the past she has always specifically asked for a reply.

I did, and wrote a one line "please keep me under consideration etc." Can't imagine it would hurt to either way.

I applied literally on the last day the app was open and got WLed.
I wrote an LOCI and got a response. It read in part, "Thank you so much for your continuing interest in UVA Law. I really hope things can work out so that we will be able to get you to Charlottesville in August!"
Is this a form response, or should I take it as a sign of genuine interest?

Probably neither. They're just nice people down in Charlottesville.

Damn, I must have done something wrong on my application. Guess its LOCI time!
Did you write a LOCI or Why UVA or any of that fun stuff?
I wonder if 169 is the new median?

Huge congrats! Good luck in your decision.
The 169/3.6ish profile seems to be wildly popular with the admissions office right now. Along with turn left, 4 of the 9 admits on the spreadsheet fall in that tiny band.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
