Re: WUSTL c/o 2016
It's funny how staring at a phone for an hour expecting it to ring can still make you jump when it does...
I just finished up my interview with Ms. Orr. As everyone else has mentioned, she's super personable and really seems to make the effort to have a comfortable conversation with the applicant. None of the questions were out of the ordinary and I think the best prep is just familiarizing yourself with your own educational and professional record.
With luck I didn't rant for too long about my interest in the school, my area of interest, & c. Otherwise, I'd like to think it went well, and either way, it certainly speaks to the attention to detail of the university in implementing this interview program. If WUSTL weren't already my at the top of my list, it would be now.
As the last person to report mentioned, there was no offer over the phone, but she mentioned a number of times that I'd be hearing sooner rather than later and that the interview would prove useful in filling out my application.
Keeping those fingers crossed for now! Good luck to others who have scheduled interviews!

Got a nifty flash drive in the mail today, filled with info about WUSTL's clinics, a profile of the c/o 2015, videos, and other stuff.

Woah, there's stuff ON the flash drive? Totally missed that (clearly didn't look very closely).
Anyone have any idea when in Feb scholarship info would be sent? Would it be good to mention competing offers before or after they've made an initial decision?

Just got the flash drive as well. LSAT drop AND 40 less students from the previous class? I guess the latter is probably a good thing thoughXs20 wrote:C/O 2015:

They should come out in mid-february. Also you won't be able really start negotiating offers until after the First Deposit deadline. After that the school will get an initial sense of how much they need to pay-up to retain admits with higher numbers and how much breathing room they'll have regarding scholarships/incoming tuition revenue.Unoriginalist wrote:Woah, there's stuff ON the flash drive? Flash drive content:
Videos on st. louis..entertainment..some park.."people" and neighborhoods? Check. Video on jobs/placement? nope.

I'm dying. On the travel stipend form there is a category for "Alcoholic Beverages" which can be anywhere between the values of $36 - $87 worth. I know this does not apply to prospectives, but it's still a +10 for WUSTL to have this option on their traveling expense statement.

Was admitted today at the end of my interview with Krystal Orr. Hopefully will be attending the admitted students day, but it depends on the stipend offered.

It's $200 if you are traveling from over 150 miles away.gatorfan163287 wrote:Was admitted today at the end of my interview with Krystal Orr. Hopefully will be attending the admitted students day, but it depends on the stipend offered.

Yeah, but not everyone gets it. S/he shouldn't make plans until they get a notice from admissions that they're being offered the stipend.dproduct wrote:It's $200 if you are traveling from over 150 miles away.gatorfan163287 wrote:Was admitted today at the end of my interview with Krystal Orr. There's another ASD in March if the stipend doesn't come or if it doesn't come soon enough to make plans for January ASD

She said I would be getting an e-mail sometime soon with information on the stipend amount so I figure I'll be getting something. Thanks to others on the stipend figures.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Yeah, but not everyone gets it. FWIW about the stipend, when I asked Mary about it, she said that if the form had not come in, I could pick one up on my visit. I would maybe ask if you're eligible via email, and if so, enjoy your visit
