Just playing devil's advocate here (wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens to me too because I have similar numbers), but is it not possible that your lack of enthusiasm for American (only applying because of a fee waiver, etc.) was evident in your application? Surely we should be happy about schools making decisions on factors other than LSAT/GPA medians?

I'd say their rejecting above median applicants is nothing more than a numbers game, not some kind of holistic evaluation. I've had other schools write hand written notes on my compelling public interest personal statement and resume, only to get a waitlist from a school that is supposed to be PI-minded?

Of all the answers I'm waiting on, for some reason this one has me on the edge of my seat the most - even more than the reach schools I'm still waiting to hear from.

Seems like the YP WLs are finally starting to come through. I can't imagine they'd wait on answering a December application until past the end of March, so I'm expecting to get YPed today or tomorrow. Won't it just arrive already?
