Does anyone know if you can pair a Miami Scholars award with another scholarship? Like the Dean's Merit Scholarship for example?

How did you guys go about withdrawing? is there a specific form or process or just an email to the admissions office?

They extended their first deposit until April 19th...Do you guys think an offer from Kent ($20K per year, $60K total) and one from Case Western $15K per year will be good bargaining chips? So far I have nothing in terms of scholarship money from U of Miami, and COA without one is kind of ridiculous.

Just got offered $60,000 with top 50% stip...sounds like I'll be accepting. Does anyone know what the deal with accepting multiple offers is? I just paid my deposit at Kent a week ago! Am I suppose to withdraw before paying this one? Also, how will this effect my other pending applications?

Yes! My status had changed yesterday to the need documents status and then I received an email to check my status and it showed my decision. I also got a personal call from Admissions this moring congratulating me.
Good Luck!!
Also I currently go to UM, so if anyone wants advice on apartments let me know, since I went through that search twice.

GPA will only keep you out of a school, it won't do much for admissions or scholarship money since so many people applying have decent GPAs. If you want anything more than 10 grand from UM you'll need a 160+ (This is assuming you're not a URM). If you can get 162+ with that GPA you're looking at 20k, 165+ 25k, 170+ and you edge closer to a full scholarship.
I wouldn't commit to UM with anything less than 15k a year of scholarship, keep studying and you'll get there.

I also have an honors thesis under my belt as well as a multitude of extra curriculars in government and public service in the federal and my local government if that counts for anything

Any waitlist movement?
I read that they should be making more decisions after the June 1 seat deposit date, but I also looked at old threads, and it doesn't seem like anyone gets in after then! Or if they do, they didn't post. And looking at the facebook group, it has nearly 400 members whilst they said they were only accepting 350 this year. Is there anyone who can comment on this?
Sorry for being fussy, just really want to get in and I feel like my chances are looking slim with their lack of using the waitlist.
