I think you are totally right that talking and speculating about the process is not going to make a difference, especially since (as you said) this cycle is already looking different than last year. But I think people are just excited and having fun. No harm no foul.

People saying when they got a decision, sharing numbers, etc. certainly helps but I don't see wild speculation doing anything but driving people even more crazy. But I guess I'm wrong about that. Also, it's October. But I guess people need to start planning now or something.

Ok, I'll play along... My status checker date is the 11th and it says my app is complete. Is everyone else at that date and does it say "complete" or "in review?" I retook on the 6th so not sure if I'm in a holding pattern with them or not.

If I remember correctly the people from last week got their email when their statuses were just "Complete".

My status has been complete since 10/8. If your status went complete on the 11th, that is when they will change your status date. Once you go complete, they stop changing your status date. I think...

False. My status date has changed at least once or twice since going complete.

Hmm...I wonder why they haven't changed mine since the 8th then? Just an FYI--decision emails came around this time last Monday.

I went complete on 9/19 and then this past weekend the date changed again to 10/11.
