FYI, I've talked to someone on one of GULC's alumni boards and she told me that Georgetown is stingy because they have a very small endowment. They used to be run by the Catholic Church and they never did fundraising - so as a result they have a lot of catching up to do.

That's odd, you would think they would just pass the donation basket around the aisles during class

To alleviate those under stress of waiting, I was accepted today (10/22) with a 10/15 last status update, and a letter that was both dated and postmarked on 10/15, and I live in Boston -- which is definitely within 1 USPS delivery day of D.C.! So don't fret, snail mail may lag. My envelope was classified as "presorted" on the post mark, so maybe delivery got funky (although I'm still surprised that it took one whole week to travel two cities up I-95...)

Congrats to everyone accepted ! I wish i had been checking my status dates but i though it would have only made me more anxious. My current status date is 10/17 but i don't know if that's the first, second, or third (sent/received on 10/05; went complete on 10/8 fwiw).

For those who got accepted, did any of you have 10/17 as your last status date?

I have those exact dates and I'm also quite sure that the envelope is marked 10/19. The letter is dated 10/15 however.

I'll add to the rather large pile of acceptances; I got one today as well! Congrats to everyone so far who's heard positive news!

Complete dates: 10/2 -- 10/11 -- 10/16. Letter is dated 10/15, postmarked 10/16. I live just outside of DC, so I'm a little surprised I didn't get it on Saturday, but no complaints.

No, they won't take a GW offer seriously. You'll need a peer or better.

Financial aid decisions wont' come out until March or April
