So when do we think next round of ED decisions will come out? Next week? Doubtful for the rest of this week right?
Also, anyone notice that most ED decisions today were for ppl with complete dates close to 11/15?

Really???! Where did you see this? Shit I have only submitted professors LORs and am currently working full-time :/jychun412 wrote:I just realized that Columbia requires you to submit a letter of recommendation from your employer if you are currently working full-time.
I consider myself a recent graduate so I didn't read beyond the first two sentences of that section in the instructions.![]()
Is it too late to submit the letter of recommendation now? It went complete on October 2.

Ohh ok, that reassures me. thanks!TheColonel wrote:For what it's worth, I went to an information session led by the director of admissions and he was pretty clear that they preferred academic LORs unless you'd been out so long that getting one would be really difficult. I wouldn't sweat it.

Numbers: 174/3.61 and ED also. Nothing good or interesting in terms of softs. I submitted 11/14 and then there was an LoR that didn't get in until the 20th or so. Not sure when I got the complete email.

I really did read theur application instructions... I guess I was distracted. I hope I will be fine, I guess I will ever since it is a bit blurry and they say to use your judgement.twinkletoes16 wrote:Mdenis1 wrote:Really???! Where did you see this? I was admitted yesterday too! Totally threw the hail mary, was hoping that applying ED would be an advantage when I was deferred to RD. Was shaking when I read the email.
I was 168/3.6 from an ivy. Graduate degree + work experience. They must have liked my recs/personal statement. Hope this gives others in my position hope for the next rounds of ED/RD - turns out LSAT isn't everything

Lol, good question. I love when people are like "Oh yeah I'm a black Navy Seal Rhodes Scholar, does that matter?"

What's a urm? Either way, I'm white, not a fulbright/rhodes/etc. scholar. Does that help?

Re: Columbia c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Impossible to say, Ndomukong, but last year it looks like people heard back first on the 5th and then not until the 12/13. It could be any time, though, the quote I got after calling Admissions a few days ago was just "throughout the month of December." They haven't said anything else official that might be more specific.
Edit: As far as completion dates close to 11/15, the sample size is only two. Two others got in but haven't specified a date. Wouldn't read too much into that yet.
