Does anyone know if UW offers a travel stipend? I'd love to find a way to visit.

11/17 club. just got the email today...accepted! 164/3.63. i think it must have either been my softs or my PS that tipped the balance in my favor. either way, i am grateful. this kinda throws a wrench into my plans, as i had all but given up on UW and narrowed down my decision to two schools.

Does anybody know why the average private sector median salary for U Wash is listed at $90,000, while schools far below it in the rankings post median private sector numbers of $120k+ ?

I'm not sure which other school's you are referring to, but lawschooltransparency.com is probably the best resource for answering this sort of question. A lot of schools have pretty shady ways of reporting employment data. It looks like U of W reports employment data for 66% of grads, which is actually quite high for that level of school. Those other schools could be reporting data from only 20% of the class and then the median they report is only the median for that 20%. We then know nothing about the 80% who didn't fill out the employment survey.

Or maybe those other schools just place better into big law than Washington does.
